Yesterday's State of the Game for Dungeons and Dragons Online gave players a lot to look forward to, and brought about a storm of questions and excitement from fans. The new race, the respec option, and particularly the introduction of guild housing left the community very anxious for Update 4 to arrive.
Almost lost amidst the other features was the announcement of a new adventure pack. "Sentinels" will take us back to House Deneith and Searing Heights -- places you may not have explored much lately -- to meet a new kind of undead and fight a pirate band led by Captain Tew.
So while we're counting down the days until April and Update 4, if for no other reason than to satisfy our curiosity about these upcoming changes, we've got some time to wait. Turbine has given us some gorgeous new screenshots of House Deneith to hold us over in the meantime, so check out the gallery below and enjoy.

I like Turbine for the most part, as well as both DDO and LotRO. These screenshots look nice.
However, my major complaint about both of their games still stands. The character model animations and movements are too stiff and unnatural at times. The really, really need to do a focused update on both the look and feel of their character models (in both games).

The only model I personally have a problem with is the human male model. He looks fine when he's standing still or fighting but when he runs it looks like he's making an emergency trot for the restroom.
Love DDO though.. I always come back to it.

Just started free ddo sub, I see now why they make so much cash, the game is sort of what I have wanted to see in a MMO for a long time! It really does remind me of playing the Pen and Paper game with my buddies (the same ones im playing this with actually). Taken all things together its an entirely different take on mmo's. I dont like how "faded" the graphics tend to look on my system but I imagine thats a setting somewhere I havent found yet :)
Problem is I can see spending WAY too much on this game over next month or so
