Now if Turbine could convince the LOTRO producers to post a similar address, I would be impressed.

It's easy to talk about the future of a game like DDO when you know you have the revenue to deliver on those plans.

I like someone's post on the forums which went something like, "they don't need to announce any kind of vision because we all know the story already."

that really sums up a lot about the game and its community for me.

I wish i could read similar positive things about DDO Europe and Codemasters but i guess Codemaster rather will be forced to shut down before Turbine shares a bit of their big cake. Any news on the Atari vs Turbine story?

Turbine are by far and away my favorite developer in the MMO sphere. They have seriously learned from their past mistakes and have brought back DDO from the ashes. And LotRO is still my favorite MMO.

FTP with microtrasactions really was the smartest move for DDO. Turbine have assured themselves of a strong revenue model that will hopefully fund their next project. As much as I hate to say it, I've fallen too often for the "just one more Siberis Cake" for an insta-rez when sonething's gone wrong ... or investing in another stack of healing potions. Well played, Turbine. Well played.

Really? I thought almost no one really buys such things. I wouldn't, all money goes into content for me.
