It's only in closed beta in Korea, they are actually quite deep into the beta over there. Here in the west, the game isn't quite ready for even the first beta yet, hopefully they will take their time to westernize the game... give it a proper translation with good voiceovers, and adjust any grinding issues that would anger western players.

It's pretty... At least that much is apparent. Whether it's any good or not? Well, time will tell I suppose. I have my doubts, but that's mainly because Korean MMOs always disappoint me.

Looks sweet, combat isnt tab-target 1-9, and the lore about dream worlds on the back of titans is genuinely refreshing.

"...not simply a matter of translating quest text. They're working hard to eliminate any traces of grind and beef up the game's lore for that Western audience."

This looks promising, hopefully they are actually done with it when the game is launched.

I have been following TERA for quite some time and for once, may be a Korean base MMO might work in the west.

This looks and sounds interesting. I echo the statements made by folks above though... While I'm excited to see this game, I'm going to try and keep expectations pretty low (unlike what happend with Aion).

One thing I'm happy to hear is the planned pvp 'ala battlegrounds'. Moving most pvp into 'mini games' ensures the world is left mostly for pve. I have no specific issue with world pvp, but I find mmo's that focus end game on pvp to be very uninteresting. PvE adds soul to an mmo. PvP is fun, but can't keep me engaged for very long.

...so they ported Fallen Earth to a fantasy setting?

As for either TERA, or Blade and Soul as the most promising korean mmo in development, this one is deffinately taking the lead right now.

One thing is certain, I love the koreans for daring to put Unreal Engine 3 into an mmo. The visuals are stunning.

Also, I saw the teaser with some of the combat, and it reminded me of what I have been playing this past weekend: Torchlight. Although it is far from the same game, they seem to have one thing in common. That is to stick with what works well. The combat of this game seems to me as if it sticks with what worked very well in Devil May Cry, only in an MMO setting. Which is needless to say, very exciting.
