Like everyone said this game is horrible and no where ready to release ... It felt like I was playing a alpha stage mmo made in the 90s... GL

I am a big fan of MMO's and first person games, I preordered MO back in the beta when they started taking preorders because if I even half like an MMO I will preorder it and at least play it for the free month (one month is longer than the play duration of most non MMO's). I really want to like MO, but I find myself hard pressed to even play it for the free month when it launches, it is just that clunky, buggy and unfinished. Hopefully there is some super polish and big fixing applied to it before the launch, because it needs it. I'll still be watching it though and see what happens.

The game looked like it had potential but lag when dialog windows appeared, getting killed instantly upon entering the game, no quests or people. NPCs stand around and look like zombies, blocky scenery, and too many choices. Lucky I was able to cancel before it processed my card. Not as bad as Dark and Light, but still bad.

But better than Star Trek what a turd that game was. Looks pretty but that is it. A zoning hell of living in boxes and doing the same damn thing over and over and over. It inspired me to never buy another game from cryptic.

Bah, mispost. You could pretty well apply this to anyone defending this pile of tripe. I'm getting sick of idiots abusing the term 'sandbox' to defend poorly-constructed, aimless, half-finished MMOs.

What a steaming pile, reading the above I went ahead and paid for this putrid mess, a few hours later it is clear for anyone of average intelligence the game is horrid, it has absolutely no redeeming qualities. Its D'n'L all over again, grand ideas way beyond the ability of the development team to make it happen. Wish I lived on the same planet as the devs, must be a very happy place if people living there believe they can charge people for this and get away with it, I have a bridge in London for sale PM with offers.

In a recent post to the community Henrik Nystrom, MO Admin stated that the release will be delayed:

Dear community,

As you know we have been working hard to solve our desync issue within the game to have a proper release of Mortal Online. We have made some progress but we think we have hit the limits on the current version of the network solution we are using. We believed we had the solution before end of March but we now see that this is not possible at the moment therefore we have to postpone the release for another month. We have been working very hard day and night now for some years and finally started to see the goal and release, we just have to put another gear in before we are going to release Mortal Online. Thank you for your feedback and support that helped us to take this important decision.

there's more in the post, like that Epic Games and Star Vault are merging and yadda yadda ya, but that's the most important paragraph.
