In EVE Online you never know precisely what will happen when you turn around. One sector might be peaceful, and the very next you could stumble into a war raging for control. These types of struggles are the lifeblood of CCP's sandbox world -- and we're very lucky to get the occasional war correspondence from our EVE Online readers in the form of One Shots!
Today's image comes to us from Arial, who writes: This screenshot was taken Friday night during an invasion of Atlas forces into Providence in Eve. This is part of a major war that is ongoing between many alliances. In the picture are 3 super capitals (Titans) that had just jumped into system after the defenses were dropped. It looks like a long siege is coming.
MMOs from big to small -- we love to see them all. If you'd like to show off a place we may not get to see all that often, why not send in a screenshot. It's easy to do! Just email it to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name, the name of the game, and a quick description. We'll post it out here and give you the credit.

Yea we jumped in and reinforced the ihub in about 5seconds after we killed the cyno jammer(keeps capitals from jumping in). So it wasnt long at all. Been a great war so far :) I like how the provi block hasnt given up and continues to fight even though they are loosing. And even though they started this fight, im glad we get the chance for some pew pew

Not really sure how long of a siege it can be when you are that outnumbered. It may be good fights, but the long term effect is going to be bad since Ushra Khan will probably be NRDS in name only, and people wont go there without any defense to be targets.
I know people have issues with provi, but its a lot better way for a small group to be introduced to 0.0 than being a pet of larger alliance, and I hope people dont choose wormhole living now as a result.

Call it the price they will have to pay for AAA support. If the point was to teach the holders a lesson, that big old laggy slaughter and the resultant pounding would have taught anyone. But if they go all the way and take them out, only UK will be the ones adhering to NRDS, and AAA and the other big alliances will ignore them. NRDS wont work unless they are willing to also police it, and readin up on the posts I don't think UK really cares for that.
I think the real goal is just to get rid of CVA as opposed to administer NRDS-I don't think UK claims they can do so better.

U'K NRDS works just fine. U'K did it when they last held sov in Providence.
It's not the type of NRDS that CVA uses to exploit ratting noobs - it's the type where neutrals entities are fully capable of taking care of themselves.
U'K is not going to be the Providence police. U'K is also not going to hold sov over Providence.
It's a great time for neutral corps who are willing and capable to hold space under NRDS. It sucks for the noobs who are used to CVA playing CONCORD for them.

As a former member of a Providence alliance, it pains me to see this happen. The game won't be the same, if the invading forces go all the way. I'd even say it will be more harsh for newer players, since Providence has been the place to gather first null sec experiences for a long, long time.
Any coward can enforce NBSI, but it took real greatness to maintain NRDS that long.
