It was kind of a painful article to read, due to a poor and rather unprofessional web page layout. :(

Even so, Nudd asked fair questions and got reasonable answers to those questions, I think, all things considered.

I am still considering trying this game. It is, however, a bit overpriced for my budget at the moment.

It's definitely a game you should do the trial before deciding to purchase. Some really like it and a lot really don't. There are also some who enjoy it and really want to like the game, but they are already bored because of the lack of content since the game was rushed to launch long before it was ready.

Wait for the trial or get a buddy key from someone who already plays, then make up your own mind if it's a game for you or not.

Meh, tough questions with a lot of non-answers. Right of the bat - "well, there's no crafting, but we also don't make players follow strict starfleet regulations..."

Was a decent read, kudos to Mr. Nudd for asking some really good questions instead of the a$$ kissing questions you normally see everywhere else. It's a shame the "answers" were the same old "we want to please everyone" responses we've all come to expect.

Personally if you read behind the lines on allot of those questions he was side stepping and back talking to answers that know would be unpopular. For one thing hes talking about changing the IP but then with the holodeck question comes up he gose in to "its not are ip to change" witch is double talk

Plus theres the question on charging for additional content and that was a side step with just means "yes we will change the hell out of you all, mwhahaha!"

Personally i dont like that guy and i think there taking trek fans for a ride tell they use them all up then toss them to the side

Could his answers be anymore "cryptic"?

Sorry, I couldn't resist. ;P

Still, not one of those answers satisfied by issues with the game. He says there is crafting, I say "Where?"

He says there is diplomacy and exploration and I say "Where?"

Clearly Cryptic and it's developers have different definitions of what these MMORPG mechanics are. From what I have seen, they are no where near what the mass population considers crafting, exploring or diplomacy.

He also kept saying you have to be careful in the Star Trek IP. Really? I thought the Star Trek IP has so much potential and sooo many various things that can be done in it, that they wouldn't have enough time to put everything in.

For those who say it will get better with time, I say How? You need a foundation to build upon. The only foundation they have here would only entail building just more of the same boring treadmill they have in place.

So glad I canceled my Preorder before I fell for this turd. Why oh Why couldn't someone like Turbine or Blizzard get this IP? /cry

The real pity is that hard hitting questions are considered unusual.

2 questions could have been hard hitting, personally i feel they were all very weak. The website itself was unkown and after reading and seeing it will remain so, by me at least.

The whole interview smacked of being scripted. So that STO MMO is making atari butloads of cash, well good for them and their drug dealer.
