Darkfall is approaching its first birthday, and the company is looking to bring some new players into the game.
In February, they introduced a few new features designed to make the game a bit friendlier for new players. New player protection was introduced in order to give players a chance to get their bearings in Darkfall and a seven-day trial came about later in the month, allowing potential fans to take a look around the game.
The latest offer may well tip the scales for those who have been interested in purchasing the game. During the month of March, players can buy the Darkfall client as well as three months of playtime for $59.99 (€49.99 For European players.) Existing players aren't left out -- the 6 month -30% subscription offer has been extended through the end of March, so you can still get in on that as well.
The game can be ordered through the Darkfall site.

after playing the 7 day trial I find the game interesting and a little fun but in no way do I find it worth paying 50 dollars for the client nor do I find it worth having to pay for 2 extra months(I find it funny they say 3 months when 1 month comes standard with game purchases) to save 20 dollars.I think AoC was at 20 dollars on or soon after its 1st year without having to pre purchase months

I love this game still after one year of play. Great that an small independent company is made such a great game. I hope Mortal Online is a success also, we need more games like this including Fallen Earth. Finally we are starting to see games that are not based on EQ/EQ2/WoW/Aion rehash crap. Finally the MMO market is moving forward again.

I'd like to see them offer a bonus incentive to anyone who already has a EU-1 account for purchasing the NA-1 account... like half off for a month or something. Not that we need more people on NA-1 or anything, but it might be interesting.

I played DF during the European launch and did not subscribe after the 30 days because of the lag. I started playing 2 weeks ago on the North American server. Darkfall has come a LONG WAY in a years time. I'm having the best time in years in an MMO, and I'm not a hardcore PvPer at all. There PVE centric clans, rp centric clans, crafting centric clans, etc. To top it off, Darkfall has the best non-instanced game world on the market today. Beautiful and varied.
Great MMO and the most underrated on the market today.

This game is not for me (and it's nothing to do with the open PvP or full loot or anything, just that FPS playstyle in an MMO is totally un-fun for me), but after trying the 7-day trial, I agree that it is highly underrated. It's a solid piece of work and if you're in any sort of fan of the MMO genre you owe it to yourself to try Darkfall - it's genuinely different to most games out there.

Been playing for 2 months and I absolutely love it. Anyone looking for something different could do a lot worse than giving this game a shot.

I am in the middle of my 7days trial (thanks to the new promotion) and I had a great time so far. Very exciting and deep gameplay.
I will definitely upgrade my account, but I find the price of the client a bit expensive, knowing I'll pay every month, 20 euros for the client would be a fair price to me.
