I'll probably play when the patch goes live, we'll see.

I liked the game, but it was too grindy. Beautiful game, compelling world, just...too long to do anything. I tried to go back to Wow after, but wow just seemed SO easy these days. It's basically queue for epics.

Can't we get something in between punishing and 'queue for loot'?

I will say, those flying "jetstreams" are quite an interesting feature to add distance to the flying mechanic.

This game has bigger issues. Like account security and horrible customer service. I really did want to believe in Aion. I loved it when it came out, but it has way too many problems.

I loved AION, but there just isn't much there... most of these changes don't seem to entice me back...and i really want to go back.

Make double EXP the norm.
Add more lower level instances.
Make the LFG process EASY and USABLE and encourage grouping.

You are right Dymphna :( , it is one of the best looking MMOs but sadly this is not enough. Because of failed design choices, grind and utter lack of support and sense of community this game is on the down spiral. NCSoft is one of those companies like some labels in the music industry. They only create a one hit band , hype it to get lots of money and then dump it for another one. The business model of CCP and Blizzard is one MMO in which they invest developer, support, promotion resources in a long term fashion. On the other side you have the NCSoft who is launching almost every year another MMO, hypes it , milks in the fanboys (news about incoming news, vision trailers etc.), offers almost no support , no improvements and then dumps it for the next one.

Having played Aion from the first Closed Beta to general release and then growing bored with the omg they lied syndrome I left it. I actually had a 50. I hated grinding to level. It seems the devs here were less than imaginative in creating quest lines for certain level brackets. And whoever said it Aion is in fact NOT hard core PvP. L2 was , hate to say it but WoW arenas are more hardcore than this. I gave up on this piece of crap because (a) Being the only 50 was not fun, (b) After 50 and a Dred there is nothing really to do... the end game has absolutely no staying power or imagination for that matter and (c) Bots millions of bots even to this day. Aion and Aion west will in fact have to do a lot to gain back my $15 and that of most my Legion. Yes I can still be found lurking the Aion Source forums Yustiel if you like to try and find me. If Ayase and Aion in general were honest they in fact would not have lost 3/4 of the closed beta playing audience. They lost it cause what they told us all through the closed beta process did not come true. As it stands it looks great, game play is somewhat suspect and lacks any real imagination in quests, in end game and PvP. If you still think this is the game to end all others then you have some harsh mental issues.

im sick and tired of all of you saing aion this aion that, BLA. WOW had a lot of problems and i never seen any of you complaining!!! 1. this game is about skill
1.wow: all classes were to over powering and you can get nearft by almost anyone
2.aion is a game is from Korea 2. USA "we dont what to ament that something from another country is better than are own shit'y stuff.

one of the most annoying complaints i see is aion has no content well in wow its just the exact same thing over and over just in different race's areas. and you barly got exp at lest in aion you get exp

people say that in aion you got to grind just to lvl in wow you got to ether 1: 100k quest's or 5mill mobs and your not even complaining about that???
i played wow for 1 year and saw so many problems that it wasn't funny.

so your saying y haven't i see any problems with it

well maybe its because of the #2 thing i said only that your all too pride-full and stupid to see that wow is shit.

the people over in Korea have no beafs in this game and we do.. hum... looks like were a bunch of CRYBABYS. you know what??? think it over? is it the game at falt?? or is it your own stupid pride that is crying??

Ragnarok online is nothing but gride fest and 11m people still play thats a lot!!!
but this one guy said to me "thats not a lot." tell that to wow when 9 mill is a lot tell that to other games have 5m and they say its a lot, with other games!!!

and another thing there are games like monter hunter and others that are FANTASTIC games yet we Americans are llike (omg a good game from another country came out lets talk shit about it and make not pop cuse we dont what STORY, COOL LOOKING CARE'S AND LOVE, ALL WE WANT IS EXPLOSIONS SEX AND BLOOD. with a man care with a bald head, mussels and he's a jackass. but he gets all the girls cus hes such a jackass ) you get my point??

and another thing i don't get is when tv shows on adult swim are all crap, not funny and uninteresting yet mill of people watch it y cus there all dum with those who like wow and complain about aion. i also herd someone said i rather take wows cartoon'y graphics... then why are you not playing amine games??? y cus you think is weard. when in realty amine drives deep in the human emotion, love, and a complicated story. that's y you all hate aion. its so complicated for your little mines to handle. and besides i think is cool that lvling up is hard at the end it makes it a chalenge

you may say to me grow up.. but think it might be you who needs growing up!
im sick and tired of all of your crying. (and if your wandering y tubla resa failed THINK!!is not cus of the game it cus of all the crybaby's. and that is what makes a game fail!!!)

@ Sovelliss

I think you're right. I love this game. In fact I'm playing right now. I played FFXI for 5 years, wow for about 2 and Aion for about 3 months.

In both WoW and FFXI there were massive, if not catastrophic issues with almost every aspect of game balance. The issues I'm seeing with Aion aren't nearly as bad.

In FFXI in order to level past 10 (at least when I started) you needed to play the one "solo" job they had or you had to be in a party of at least 3 people, or have patience a saint would envy. The crafting, p2p sales and leveling systems were almost hopelessly off kilter with the rest of the game. In fact they didn't start fixing them till well after I got tired of playing 6 hours a day+ to keep up.

After that WoW seemed almost ridiculously easy, I made lvl25 in about 2 weeks, had enough money so I couldn't find anything to spend it on and was experimenting with the pvp instances... Then I got bored and wandered off. I mean seriously, capture the flag in a archaic/medieval/fantasy game? That smacks of gimmick... WoW kinda forgot the RPG part.

Then I had a friend turn me on to Aion, I have yet to experience a 24hr 6 man grind session to gain ONE FREAKING LEVEL, I have yet to be flat broke or filthy rich, and interestingly enough.... By working on a balanced character, I'm seeing crafting skills relevant to my character increase in lockstep with my level and my ingame finances. The PvP doesn't clash with the theme of the game and I can log in for 20 minutes or 5 hours and still accomplish something I'm happy with.

IMO theres a few things they could improve, yeah. However, this game doesn't seem nearly as broken as others I've played (don't get me started on EVE), but for as new as it is, I'm thrilled and plan on being around for a long time to come.
