"What could the PS3 bug mean for console MMOs?"

Nothing. People have already stated why. :)

Guess what - XP it is by far the most popular OS among PC gamers. Nobody plays an MMO on tx-3000.

LOL. By that argument, nobody plays WOW because I and all my friends play WAR :-)

I don't know if any MMO has published such stats, so check steam survey results. Keep in mind that many of its users are FPS players, who tend to have more recent hardware/software than a typical MMO.

Actually, it's you who started to claim that nobody uses XP. I already refuted that ridiculous statement with a survey of millions of users.

You need to spend more skillpoints in trolling before attempting reversing the conversation in so obvious manner.

1) You didn't back up anything, u cited a survey that you didn't link, which probably shows more high end machines anyway.

"Guess what - XP it is by far the most popular OS among PC gamers. Nobody plays an MMO on tx-3000." is what you said.

2) "in so obvious manner" You said that too.

3) And I never even said nobody. I said I don't know anyone.

Enjoy Ur ps3 fan-boy!

Oh, And Keep reading on the one thing u linked, and follow the link in the threads, and then confirm it on the MS support page. Those BSOD that your clinging to were caused by files on peoples comps, Corrupted malicious files. Not OS, not valid program, and certainly non XP updated files.

Ahhh, Whats more fun than winning?
Winning while at work.

p.s. Sorry, After reviewing Your activity, I should have know better than to stir up a hornets nest of non-sense.

"It's the rare MMO gamer who doesn't know how to open his or her tower and create a custom machine."

Uh, really? That is a really ignorant statement. The vast majority of PC MMO gamers purchase prebuilt systems from places like Dell, and have no idea how to build their own tower from scratch. That statement makes you seem really out of touch with the general gaming public.

I like my ps3.
Yes the glitch kept me from playing for 1 evening.

But that's nothing compared to RROD, and I think you'd be hard pressed to find any xbox 360 users wishing they didn't own their console. It's still a great console.

I like my mac. I like my pc. I like my telecaster. I like my gibson.
I like jesus, and I like budda.

@Knyle2,
play Demon's Souls. I think you'd like it.

I like my Linux box, my Mac, my PC, and my PS3. I don't care for the 360 due to the hardware issues and how the heating and power regulators cause the red ring of death so often. for me the 360 was a poor investment. I prefer the PS3 over the Xbox 360 because of blue ray and the fact I can use my keyboard and mouse. I have learned to wait a week when updates come out for the PS3. Sony is just going to have to stop rushing updates and set up a new process for testing.
