Hey Warhammer Online fans! Are you looking for an awesome stein to quaff your favorite ale from, while tearing it up in PvP? Perhaps your tastes run more to the Mountain Dew side of the road? Whatever your particular drink of choice is, Mythic has you covered with their Order of the Griffon and Raven Host stoneware steins.
Offered in Epic (pictured) and Legendary style, these collector's steins are covered in the art of Michael Phillippi or Eric Polak, depending on if you pick the Order or Raven design. They also come with a code for a special in-game beer stein for your character as well. You can /drink while you drink -- very meta. Players will also get a 15% experience, renown & influence bonus for 120 minutes, which doesn't suck either.
The Epic steins are priced at $99 each or $179 for both, and are lined with ceramic interiors and have pewter lids. The limited edition Legendary steins are $159 each or $299 for both, similarly lined, signed by the artist -- and only 500 of each will be made. The Legendary steins feature 18k gold accents and lid for extra waaaaagh when you're rocking out to the Warhammer Online anthem; Kiss My Axe (While I Drink My Beer)!
If you covet one for your beer stein collection, then head on over to the 3Point site and get your pre-order in soon. Sure, they're taking them until April 30th, but with a low number of signed collector's editions available, we suspect those may disappear quickly.

This is probably the coolest thing about WAR. Sadly the game isn't half as good. Been playing for about 5 months in total since launch and its just isn't worth it. And the future seems to be even darker with the obvious lack of manpower currently working on future content.

I guess the game isnt the only thing that tank-ard'd
Lighter notes aside, they are truely well designed, but i wouldnt expect any less from the war team, a true high point in the game was the graphical attention to detail.

sounds like they went down to some wharehouse mythic rented for whatever. after they donated the old desk and computers and whatever crap they had left, they stumbled upon some mugs they had made at beginning of launch.
they probaly wasted money on buying them and figured they didnt have enough to giveaway. after sitting in some dark wharehouse for the past few years, mythic is trying to sell them.
sounds like a garage sale to me

Yo dawg, so I heard you like drinking. So I put a stein in your stein so you can drink when you drink.

Pretty neat artwork on them, tho a little expensive. I understand how the other models they have that are lined with real gold in various places are more expensive, but these base ones here are still $99, not including shipping. I was thinking "that's a cool way to expand the experience, seems like a gift to the players that are still there" - that is until I saw the prices on them :P
It's still cool for collecting, buying it and putting it behind glass forever, but it's a wee bit expensive for actual drinking out of.

They look great on my screen, but I wonder what they're made of - if they will break out of the box - if all the color and texture is just covering up flaws in design...

The company making them is a Brazilian outfit called Ceramart. They appear to be well regarded as many companies commission stoneware steins from them, including Anheisur Busch.

Darn my impulsiveness. I went and ordered the $300 set. They'll look nice next to my four EvE Online Battleship models.

I'm trying to find the subliminal message hidden here - "holy crap, look at the price on these, a month of WAR is waaaaaay cheaper so COME BACK TODAY!"
