"After all, there isn't a continent for education is there?"

God, I hope not. I spend enough time around academics :)

Seriously, though, many colleagues work at schools that have a far-srtonger in loco parentis attitude than does my school. So they have to be very protective of students. This sickens me because of America's puritanical attitude: we watch screen torture-porn like "Saw" on campus but have a fit over an exposed nipple at the Super Bowl.

Our school has its own island and we tell students, after their orientations, "there is sexual content here." I have them sign a waiver that they understand this and that it is not a part of classwork.

They are all 18, can die in combat, have babies, and pay taxes. What they do in their free time, in SL or RL, is their business. It's just not for class.

Apologies for the rotten editing:

No coffee + dash of angst + busy morning = sloppy work
