Not every update is going to be a cavalcade of new and awesome systems, even though it feels really satisfying when they are. Craig Morrison, Age of Conan's director, has come out and said in so many words that unlike the game's recent 1.06 update, the upcoming 1.07 will largely feature changes under the hood that might not be as obvious to players. But his most recent letter to the game's fans is hardly all doom and gloom -- even with the lack of major new systems, there are still new things players will notice.
Travel concerns are one of the two major issues that the next update aims to address, allowing quicker travel to quest hubs and faster returns from the field. The transport is limited to quest hubs, allowing players easier access to where they need to return but not cutting out a sense of exploration. That's hardly the only bombshell the letter has to drop -- subscribers will now slowly accumulate extra levels that they can allocate to their characters, even while offline.
The system is intended to help with alt leveling rather than speeding through content, with Morrison stating that it would take nine months for a character to reach max level from this method. It's an interesting approach to helping alts keep up, and Age of Conan's players will soon get a chance to see how well it plays out.

More MMOGs need a method to increase the speed at which your alts level.

I'm thinking WoW would really benefit from something like this.

WoW has something like this 0_o There's the refer a friend program where you can supposedly (I've never tried it but this is what I've heard) hit level 60 in < 6 hours. Not to mention yeah, wow, right now is the Easiest time ever to level an alt in WoW. You select your race, your class, pick a name, decide how it looks, and them steam roll through 80 levels of content in no time with level 20 mounts and either the default quest helper or the addon quest helper.

I'm thinking that I might resub to this game after patch 1.07 comes out. It looks like they have done a lot to make this game better.

I recently resubbed and am very much enjoying the game. It has improved greatly. One of the few things that have annoyed me a little are the travel times so I'm happy to see they are working on something to make better. Looking forward to the new update.

Been playing two weeks now, love it. The graphics are the best for an mmo. The quests from 1-20 are great, feels like a regular pc game. I haven't been any further yet. Oh, there's a lot of ganking on the rp-pvp server, fun too though when you don't have a few higher level rangers up your butt. Your eyes will be spoilt by the beauty of this game, going back to any other mmo will never be the same.

I also just resubbed this weekend after a very long break and I am so far very pleased. Aside from new quests for my 71 guardian and all the new game mechanics, it just runs better. I used to get booted off the server daily and could never run the graphics on high. Now? Not a single disconnect and I'm sitting a at least 60fps on high. No lag or jerkiness at all :) I'm really excited to see all these ppl resubbing. Tyranny is def the most entertaining server if you like pvp, but if you want in you might want to hurry, its getting full! So glad this game has had new life breathed into it :D

I play on Tyranny, I'm told we have the most solid level 80 bunch, and that other servers have a good mix of lower level peeps. I love the game as well. Look me up on my main Turbulance and I will help ya out if need be.
If you can get past white sands you will love the game. pvp'ers scare people away sometimes. **HINT** you can get to level 20 without going to white sands.
