The Allods Online's community isn't happy with the game's cash shop prices. Currently, the cost of increasing your bag slots from 18 to 24 is $20, which is considerably higher than pretty much every other free-to-play game on the market. It's not entirely clear whether this is some kind of back-end mistake on gPotato's part or an actual pricing change.
And looking at the general section of Allods Online's official forums reveals that, in fact, a lot of players are pretty upset over the whole fiasco. Some are proclaiming rage-quits while others are considering boycotts but nobody is happy about the news. Of course, some more level-headed community members are attempting to communicate with gPotato in order to get the prices changed to more reasonable prices -- something which is apparently true of the Russian version of the game. We'll keep you updated as the story progresses.

It has got to be a conversion mistake. No one in their right F'g minds thinks people will pay $20 US for 6 slot bag. I'm not sure I'd pay that for a 40 slot bag.
Now make that a 40 slot bag, 2 free respec vial-thingies plus a mount and you have have $20.00 US. And yes, I know there's not mounts but for 20-buck they need to cough one up.

Allods is a shame for once brilliant Nival.
And good news for hoards of hypnotized masses.

I don't know what it means since I didn't played CB or OB, but I read this on their forum:
"a level 10 rune costs 6890 dollars... that's almost 42000 dollars for a full set"
lol?

A BIT OF INFORMATION:
The Russian players are reporting that their bags (converted from Rubles) cost between $1 and $2.
This is very probably a mistake.

Meh. Once gPotato and GalaNet find out that 6 additional slots priced at 20 bucks simply don't sell, they'll decrease the price.

They'll reverse it citing a 'programming error' whilst they were actually testing the water to see how much they would get away with.
I guarantee it

I really did get a kick out of the closed beta for Allods.... it's a gorgeous game, bit grind heavy but oh well..... it's free, right?
But now my point...... Am I the only person who noticed that 'Allods' rearranged spells out 'Dollas'? And what with the revalation of pricing in their game store?
I'd like to think it's only a coincidence, but it probably isn't......

By the way - and I'm not sure how important this is (feel free to ignore and/or down-vote it - I'd just like to clarify that gPotato is not a company. It is simply a "gaming portal".
GPotato.com is run by Gala-Net, the North American subsidiary of the Gala Group (Gala, Inc.), an originally Japanese company. GPotato.eu is run by Gala Networks Europe.
So, it's the Gala Group that needs to change things, not gPotato. But considering that they've been around for almost two decades, and have made an habit of pulling this kind of stunt over and over again, I really wouldn't hold my breath.
Seriously, of all the people to publish an Astrum Nival game on the Western markets, it had to be THESE guys...

Allods team responds:
"Because of our lack of communication to you, many of you were wildly taken back by what you saw in the item shop today.
We’ve heard you loud and clear and it’s no secret that some of our players feel the prices we have in our item shop are not fair.
Over the next several weeks we will continue to evaluate the details of our item shop and we will begin to introduce new items to help assist you throughout your Allods experience. We wanted to make clear that beyond the introduction of the item shop nothing has changed in Allods that wouldn’t allow you to enjoy the game just as much as you did during closed beta."

It is 6 extra spaces in the bag on that one character and it is NOT a mistake. They just posted on the forums that it's the correct pricing but not to worry, they will be adding more items soon. Are they insane??? $20 for 6 spaces in one bag for one character and they think I give two-shits about more items coming soon. What $10 for 2 spaces? I need whatever they are smoking, and i need it now!

God the logic and intellect of these Korean-American company reps is staggeringly retarded.
Just the way they speak is almost cartoonishly stupid.
Korean games in Korea? Good,
Korean (now Russian) games in America?
Run by the biggest, greediest, laziest, stupidest assholes in the world.
"We hate your prices!"
"You hate the prices? Well, we won't fix them. BUT, we'll offer you more stuff to buy!"
"Why would I..."
"Spend more money!"
"......" *Brain dies*
And they're ALL like this. It's amazing that not one Korean-American MMO publisher even tries to break the nasty mold of their peers.

To clarify Wjowski, as you seem particularly thick headed, I was referring to gPotato (aka Gala-Net) a Korean-run company.
NOT, Astrum Nival, the Russian developer (who seem to have joined the gouging band wagon).
I was referring to who publishes these games, not who makes them.
As for being racist, I am not. I have no problem with Korean people or, their culture.
These companies however, display a racism all their own by singling America out as the most gouged and abused servers with modified cash shops. Hell they even abuse other Asian countries.
So can the racism tripe. The things i have to say about American-made Blizzard, are far worse.

Well, looks like now would be a good time to spend a few dollars supporting Eskil Steenberg's "LOVE".
