Its ridiculous that Chinese players are having so much trouble with such "harmless" data.

I could see something like gta4 or AOC going through this kinda stuff.

And I think it really shows you how desperate the state of online gaming is, that they have been hanging onto wow without content and support for so long over there when their are like 100 free to play mmos coming out of that side of the world.

Glad things might finally get resolved for them.

It's all matter of perspective - most of Europeans laughed at Americans when they obsessed about Janet Jackson's nipple on TV.

What looks like totally harmless thing to us (our western culture). Might look totally alien and invasive to the Chinese (just compare how our western culture currently seems to think Arabic culture is alien and invasive).

But good for Blizzard - I think couple of million Chinese players might be good to have in these troubled times :-)

The Chinese MMO Market is anything but in a desperate state. The MMO Market is China surpasses that of both the US and EU MMO Markets put together.

They have held onto hope of World of Warcraft reopening because its a solid, polished, and a complete game. I think that speaks for itself.

I am glad to see the game re-open in the China Markets, even more so with the harsh censorship conditions that China puts onto all of its products.

Interestingly enough, I would probably rather go back and play on a WoW server that WAS pre-burning crusade.
