Every Wolf 3D score screen had the main character holding twin chainguns.

Desert Eagles are expensive pieces of junk. The quality is poor, they're ugly, and the things are so badly assembled that they rattle. Wouldn't even want to use it in a desert, they jam easily. I don't get why video games have this fetish over them. Smith and Wesson Model 500s are more powerful and have less recoil. Duel wielding a pair of these flame cannons would be impressive.

Robocop used one. Not just video games, Hollywood loves them too.

Robocop did not use one.
Two of the "villains" in Robocop movies did.

I wonder if the gun that Robocop used actually exists.

Yes. I own two and dual-wield them. They are awesome and the ladies love them.

Am I the only one slightly miffed over there just being two new powersets in the entire expansion?
City of villains gave us a bunch of archetypes and powersets, and while that might count as a full game, we should have gotten more than this measly amount in an expansion.
