Development of Eskil Steenberg's MMO Love has been proceeding quietly for a few years now, with the occasional story when alpha or beta milestones are reached. Back in October, we took a closer look at this gorgeous, unique game thanks to Krystalle and Seraphina.
The work of the one-man development studio and the patience of Love fans is about to pay off: Mr. Steenberg announced via Twitter that Love will launch March 25th, just over a month from now. If the game looks interesting to you and you haven't had the opportunity to check it out yet, the official site has some tips and suggestions for getting the game set up on your computer as well as some links to informational sites.
Take a look at the game, and we'll see you at launch!

LOVE was designed to have low operational costs. So no server costs are not going to be astronomical. Not considering you can get a dedicated server box with the specs to meet LOVE's demands for $100-$200 a month.

Even cutting corners on a low traffic Indie MMO, $100-$200/m server is a very low end machine. However, lets say you did manage to find a high end server that could handle being the "game server," you'd still run into the huge problem of redundancy and having "all-your-eggs-in-one-basket." Something you can not afford to do in an MMO. Even an Indie MMO.
@Lateris I'd recommend checking out webhostingtalk.com if you are looking for a dedicated server or hosting info in general. Massive amount of info on there with companies posting hosting deals all the time.

Playing the beta and I gotta say, when people get on this is a TON of fun.
As long as you have Teamspeak and a mic to communicate, there is actually a lot to do.
For those who might not know, there is a sort of ongoing war between the humans and the AI, who will occasionally attack your settlement and try to destroy it, if they succeed you have to start over with no tokens and rebuild, you can go destroy theirs too though.
While it may be hard to justify a monthly fee over 5 euros, I think it is worth it to support this game and help Eskil get the money to turn this game into something even more.
