@John, in your browser's URL bar, replace the "http://" at the beginning of the link you were sent with "https://account.lego.com". You should end up with a URL that looks like "https://account.lego.com/en-us/activate.aspx?..." That's the URL that should have been sent out in these emails, and it'll let you finish activation and sign up for the beta.
