Will ships be similar to raids where one has to be committed to hours of playtime before experiencing astral sailing or will there be opportunities for people to casually hop on and off ships to get ship experience without the large time commitment?

everyone can do the quest to own a ship, but going off into the Astral solo isn't an option.

If you are worried about being able to PUg in the Astral, all it takes is a person with a ship, and them giving you rights to board their ship.

Are there any plans for extra servers in the first few weeks to combat the locust like onslaught of bored WoW players ?

Tho that might be moot because its going to an open beta then transitioning to live down the road at which point most of them will have withdrawn back to WoW.

Also I know there was a warden exclusive zone, unfortunately I haven't been able to keep up with Allods as much as I would have liked so my question (that might have already been answered) are there plans for similar class exclusive zones for each class ?

on the bright side that first question based on an inevitable eventuality means extra server stress testing :)

What will be the reward for PvP vs the PvE aspect of the game?

Will these rewards (if any) be similar in stats and any equip bonus to keep the PvP gear is better that PvE vice versa argument at a minimum. In regards to this, will this sytem have a you must PvE to get PvP gear or vice verse setting.

With the fix to the PVP flagging (making it so it is optional to be flagged), are there any plans to add PvP battlegrounds or separate servers by PvP and Regular PvE?

I personally would prefer a regular PvE server if there is to be battlegrounds because open world PvP is hardly ever balanced.

Hello my name Is Kane Hart.

Allods is a wonderful game but the NA needs some work with communication and GM's.

After my issue where I got banned and you can read more here:
http://kanehart.com/2010/02/02/allods-online-banned-for-trying-to-save-the-game/

I had actual GM's on the EU server and many friendly people come up to me and tell me to play EU. Unfortunately that will not work out for me but people say for some reason the NA servers think there better then all the other servers. If you talk about EU on their forums you get in crap. It's really strange.

I have yet to be unbanned yet I keep pushing for it but they don't do anything about it..

I don't know what to say I love allods I support it yet I'm not welcome to play it.

I agree with you, kanechart, as do many other Allods players.
For those not familiar with the issue: (reworded from kanehart's site)

--
So why is this happening?
Allods is adding an effect called Fear of Death. At level 40 it lasts 51 minutes and removes 25% of your stats and stacks 4 times.
So what's the big deal?
It would appear that the point is to sell a cash shop item (potion) that lasts 30 minutes, debuffing the FoD.
Interestingly, Allods stated that no gameplay effects would ever come from the item mall (refer interview on MMORPG.com). Additionally, the potion also increases the users stamina greatly.
--

It's a real shame because Allods has so much going for it, but in the end even *it's* developers aren't immune to greed. (And yes, we all realise that revenue has to come from somewhere, but to deliberately debilitate players to such a massive degree, with the only cure being a potion from the cash-shop, is just.. wrong.)

MMO's are becoming the 'sea monkeys' of current times :S

I should have made my above post more of a question then a comment.

question 1:
Kane Hart Asks: Will there be more options in the future to customize ships and their looks like paint or symbols or entirely new ships?

question 2:
Kane Hart Asks: Will you need to buy special items from the Item Mall to stay competitive in PvP and PvE or is the item more for cosmetic and maybe making some tasks more easy but has no real effect on gameplay?

Thanks for your time I hope you make Allods one of the best games this year and the next!

Change of Orc Warden pet from wolf to Goblin was largely unpopular by the community. (I quit playing my warden for this reason)

Will you change the pet back to wolf ?

I read in the forums they already did that in the Russian game and will probably do it here. I think it's terrible decision. The wolf pet is so generic and lame, the goblin gave the game and class personality. But whatever, hard for me to argue with it if they made the popular decision.

I know wolf is pretty standard. But it fits orchish theme. While goblin did not.
And think of it this way. If you going to spend a game with a pet class that has only one pet to choose from. What will you chose ?

A fugly looking gimmick , or badass looking powerful animal ?

I think I'm to the burn out stage when MMOs all seem to be the same. Now, I'm not saying this is a WoW clone in any way, shape or form. I'm just saying that I'm tired of all these fantasy games that don't bring much else than what the rest in the genre bring.

I've attempted to play Allods a few times, but just get severely bored after about an hour. If anything I'd really like to hear then tell me why this game is a must play. What are a few of the things that people like me can't live without or that we might feel as a reason to pick their game over Runes of Magic or some other F2P.

Sounds like you need a break in MMO's in general. Heck I'm banned right now I hope TEMP from the NA servers and anyways I was having a blast.

Here is a example what you can do at level 35+

Wow Kane, just read your banning story. If that is the way they treat people that like the game I'd hate to imagine what they do to those that dislike it.

In regards to my situation, you are correct. I am in between MMOs and have bounced from open/closed beta to open/closed beta. Just haven't found that post-WoW MMO yet.

I agree with Dave, and I think is it is largely to do with the fact that Allods is a WoW clone at least in terms of its appearance, although the character models actually look a lot more clunky than in WoW. My paladin's arms look plain silly.

I am drawn to the game by some of the things that are clearly different to the standard fantasy MMO, but I simply can't get beyond the early look of the game - and it isn't that I don't like WoW, it's simply that there are too many WoW lookalikes now and if I wanted a game that looked like WoW I'd play WoW.

My question: Will the two Allods logos at the bottom of the screen be removed at launch?

the logos is all you ask about but you say you can't play the game because it looks like WoW....

really?

Question number 1: The option to customize your appearance as well as your gear has been a trend in several mmos. Given that reputation gear is pretty standard accross the servers, we have lots of toons looking a lot like each other. Are you thinking about the possibility of adding an appearance only gear bar?

Question number 2: Will you launch PvP and PvE servers?

Question number 3: Are there plans for instanced battlegrounds?

Question number 4: Are you rethinking the Fear of Death mechanic on terms a) duration of the debuff b) extent of the debuff?

Question number 5: Cash Shops Pots seem to be a lot more powerfull than the end-game Alchemy Pots. Do they stack? Can you only have one pot up at a time?

will there be any end game raiding you can access without a ship. or is the end game solely based around it.
