You get a mining upgrade to it really soon and you only spend about 2 minutes a planet before you deplete it! On some planets you pick up something weird and you can land to check it out! Most of this side missions are pretty cool! Not just shot everything that move! Sometimes you get ones where you gonna find out more what happened to the place. Its pretty cool and beats the send tank to mine planet missions of the first part!

Also best of all you make decisions that will effect your game world! The best part is what I did in Mass Effect 1 really did transfer to Mass Effect 2!! This new import save thing is really cool.... I always miss that with the C&C series where I beat the game on Kane sides and when the next game start Kane was beaten and lost the war.... On your question of this can be a MMO well lets see how much Mass Effect will there be in that new Star wars MMO Bioware is working on!

Things seem to be improving a little. Lifetime members have been able to create their Liberated Borg characters and I actually managed to play for a few hours. Kept getting disconnected and dumped back to the login and there is some rubberbanding going on (not game-breaking though).

It'll be interesting to see if their servers cope over the weekend.

To put it more politely than the person above me did, Cryptic confirmed multiple times that you wouldn't have to redownload the entire game client after beta ended, but would instead be able to patch to the full game. As far as I know, ONLY Steam users, no one else, were forced to redownload the entire 10-gig client from scratch.

It's not even something we can blame on Cryptic. It's not Cryptic's fault that Steam arbitrarily deleted the entire folder instead of trying to update what was there. =p
