Despite it being said already in past articles, this game isn't "light hearted". In fact its already in the US (at least in english form) under the name Q-world. They are just taking that and changing around names and text. You want a simple example of this idea, its the same as those "dubbed" parodies of anime and such you can see on youtube, where people just add voice overs to the movement of the lips.
Now, when they make an actual game akin to Dungeon Runners, instead of painting over a game, I'll be interested.

While you're correct that the game is related to Q-World, Q-World is just the Malaysian localization of this game. Kung FOO is the same underlying game in a lot of ways, but all of the content and storyline have been totally re-written by comic book writer Devin Grayson. We put a lot of effort into changing everything and bringing a sense of humor to the game :)

Okay, that was pretty lame but I'm gonna try that game.
Even if it's just the same.
Noone but myself to blame.
But they need to get rid of that whiny sounding dame.

I agree that the narrator made the video sound cheap. But the game looked at least worth trying out.

I wish we could reply to a reply here.
Sam Houston, you say it's the same underlying game in a lot of ways, I wish I wasn't drinking some punch when I read that, as it almost flew out my nose. It's the same underlying game PERIOD. I'll take another look at it, but when your CB opened, almost the only changes were the NPC and monster names and text in the game. The rest of the game was 100% the same. And no offense but the game that this is (Wulin2 - which was already translated into Q-World as mentioned) is still very bland and not really fun or new at all. I'm sorry to call it as it is, but it's true... Maybe some people will play a game where the text was changed to make it seem like this great funny game, but under that it's just a simple same old same old game. You better have some pretty amazing text (a part of games many people still skip) in order to draw people into this older and bland game. We're not trying to be mean to you in saying this or anything, it's just a fact. Most people will go and try it out for themselves anyway to see if they like it, the point was that almost everybody is saying it's this great new parody game, when really it's a re-texting of a game that existed for years and isn't really a very fun game to begin with. Please don't try to make out like it's a new game using the same base. If you didn't understand English and played both versions, they'd look exactly the same to you. It is the same game with different text. Maybe you'll tweak xp rates or the number of kills that need to be made, etc, but it's not really this great parody game that these previews of it make it out to be. Either the writers don't know, or are too scared to lose relations with you to bring up that it's a re-texting of a game that already exists... And while Q-World may be the Malaysian version, you can play it from almost anywhere in the world, and it's English, and been out for many years. Everything was the same except for the text. Maybe you guys will work on changing more as time goes on, but when your CB opened, that wasn't the case. We'll re-judge it by the time it's released, so if you do change more by then, we will go ahead and admit it and say that you changed more (You did a good job tweaking Ether Saga for being better for the US audience for instance, and many of your changes in it didn't come until the release patch).
