I like Atanas' last comment: "Just like the Earthrise fans, we are also eager to release the game, but nowadays it is really important to focus on stability and working on the mechanics."

Thumbs up for clean execution, lets hope they stick to that.

It'll be interesting to see how Masthead differentiate v13 (Fallout MMO) from this title, & how v13 will impact upon the design & features of Earthrise, will this just end up as being the breadwinner to fund a better game, & will Earthrise have features deliberately left out that will be used in v13?

The deal with Interplay is mostly to use the development tools Masthead created in order to make Earthrise (really read the announcement of their agreement). I don't think there's going to be much creative crossover.

Earthrise's features have been known for a long time now. They really don't have room to start removing stuff to keep exclusive to V13. Further, Interplay has the rights to V13, not Masthead. Masthead will want to keep their own game separate and able to stand alone.

Also, Masthead has specifically said that no development staff will move to V13 from Earthrise until their part of Earthrise is done.

Yes, Earthrise might be the breadwinner for funding the next big and new mmo that Masthead Studios will make. They have stated in the past that they do plan on making more MMOs besides that of Earthrise. However I doubt they will leave Earthrise in the dust when the time does comes when they release a new mmo.

So, really nothing to worry about.
