Divulging trade routes, even the most basic ones, is kind of lame >:|

How is it lame? It means more people to suicide gank :)

That particular trade route (Jita to Rens/Hek) is fairly common knowledge among traders. It's not there because people don't know about it, it's there because people are too lazy to do a 50-jump roundtrip haul or figure it's not worth the risk of being suicide ganked. That particular trade route is a popular hangout spot for suicide gankers, who hit Tech 1 industrials with either a pack of 3-4 destroyers or as little as a single battlecruiser. It's also been the site of numerous freighter ganks by large suicide battleship squads, though that practice is more difficult now due to the CONCORD buff a while back.

come on give me a break, these arent trade routes at best its just knowing the trade hubs, and swaping from safest to shortest distance via autopilot path finding...

Chris, if you're looking specifically for "Trade this item from here to there", you'll actually have to do a little bit of research on the Trade hubs and surrounding systems to turn a profit. No one can really hand that to you, because the Market is changing CONSTANTLY.

Chris - are you special needs or something?

What else would a trade ROUTE be if not a route between two trade hubs?

Gallente? Definitely Dodixie and Alentene.

Amarr? I haven't got a clue.

By the way, I once went all the way to Jita for a Hulk. Back then, I paid 106 million ISK for one. Nowadays, they're twice as expensive. If you need an expensive ship, Jita is a good place to go, though make sure you are not a juicy target for gankers (fit inertia and warp core stabilizers 'n' all the other stuff that allows you to either warp away in time or hold out long enough for CONCORD to give your attackers hell).

The main Amarr hubs are Amarr and Tash-Murkon Prime.

I'm not sure if Oursalaert is still a big gallente hub, I haven't been there in ages.

The Gallente system would definitely be Dodixie, and probably Oursulaert as an alternate.

Alentene has some decent market activity at the moment, but it seems like most of that is coming from the Red v Blue perma-war. Frig to cruiser sized ships and modules go pretty well, but bigger than that and it's not so hot.

The main trade hub i use in Amarr space is Amarr - Emperor Family something.

Not being funny either. The home system seems to be the biggest I have come across and I pratically live in Amarr space.

It is a bad place to buy skill books though - much better prices 203 jumps away at somewhere beginning in S i can not remember right now.

I meant 2-3 Jumps. I blame the medication I am taking to try and stop smoking.

Anyone going into trading will learn immediately where the major hubs are. And it's obvious that traders make their living just amongst these hubs. I don't think this article revealed anything too secret. Now trading items in null-sec effectively without getting ganked. That's something we would all love to know.
