My parent's have been absolutely addicted to this game, and they've never played an MMO before in their life. They managed to hook my brother, and sister-in-law. So I figure I'll give it a go myself.

Erm, I guess the person who wrote this blurb has never played the game. It's very confusing.

Most the changes mentioned are just to one of the automated PvP tournaments

Unfortunately, almost all other patch changes in the game (and have been for quite some time) are nerfs. Worse drops, etc.

And they finally rolled out an NPC to trade coins won in the PvP tournies for Druid recruitment items. But then it turned out to be 4x the cost of items needed compared to the game in Korea. (Their item mall is also much cheaper and not so gambly).

Many in the game's community were mad. Pitchfork and torch mad. It was the last straw after so many nerfs, the charity scam (they sold $40 boxes for charity, in part to get items for the Druid as there was no other way, really, and then only gave $2 of it to charity), etc.

Also, that enchant thing is not good. They apparently removed higher level enchant stones from ever being dropped in game, so woops, guess you have to use the item mall and get the stones from there.
