When you're a gamer, you always have "that story." It's the one you tell to your buddies when you're all gathered around a table, eating dinner and talking about games. It's the one that you tell to your co-workers to show them why you love gaming so much. It's that story that, even when you're telling it, makes you sit back and go, "Wow, I still can't believe we pulled that off."
Those are the events that completely addict us to what we do; the events that keep us searching for something else just like it, or perhaps even better. Today on "'Da Grind," we want you to tell us those stories and share them, because we know all of you have something awesome to share.
So go on right ahead and start typing away in that comment box below and hit submit when you're ready to send your favorite moment to the Massively.com community. We can't wait to hear them!

When I used to play Warhammer Online earlier last year, around Feb-April 09, I was on the Phoenix Throne server. At that time, in T4 Order and Destro were pretty evenly balanced. I was in a good sized guild, which was also part of an alliance that would organize open RvR all the time. Many of those battles were of epic proportions. Simply locking a zone was a big accomplishment because both sides brought large numbers and coordinated their attacks and defenses well.

I think mine would have to come from EQ. I remember the first time I ever saw on my screen "The Sleeper has been awakened!" and it was followed by massive logouts so he wouldn't quad DT anyone in the zone. I also love the boat ride across the Ocean of Tears and seeing that Ancient Cyclops for the first time.

Guild Farming Honor outside of Orgrimmar.
We ran up, killed horde until our pally buffs went out, ran back to azshara, rebuffed, ran back killed more horde and repeated that for about 30 minutes.

Back in pre-CU SWG, my first Krayt Dragon hunt, having to run 15 mins from the nearest town because mounts/vehicles weren't in yet, long before the Jedi crap so no stress about pearls. Taking down that beast was amazing.
Also, when our player city was among the several that got their shuttle port.
Oh, and affording my first 'large' house, and finding the ideal holiday retreat location for it by a secluded lake in the middle of nowhere on Naboo.
On a general level, playing an MMO where there were a dozen unique statements I could make about about my Character, instead of doinng something I know full well half the player-base has.

Our first C'thun kill in WoW. Our guild had been trying for about a straight month to kill this Old God, we came close many times but always something went wrong. So many people were getting burned out, the guild leader decided the guild should have a 3 day break from raiding to let us recover.
We came back and finally downed him on our third attempt, Ventrillo went nuts with everyone shouting and screaming, I was jumping up and down in my room, such an adrenaline rush. To this day that is still my favorite raid encounter of any MMO I've played.
Another moment(s) was from Everquest. Finally getting my Eyepatch of Plunder quest item from Stormfeather (rare gryphon with a 30+ hour respawn timer), our Sleeper's Tomb raid waking the Sleeper in our server, actually being there when it happened not hearing about it. First in our server to beat The Council of Earth (epic 2 hour fight) to gain access to the plane of time. Killing Vulak'Aerr the final boss of the Temple of Veeshan.
If I had to pick only one though, it would be the 10th ring fight in Velios. For those not familiar with it, it's a long quest that has you crafting a ring and upgrading it with every level of the quest to finish. the first 9 steps are long and tedious but you can do most of them with the help of a group. The last step though, is a massive raid fight where half the zone is locked down and waves upon waves of increasingly stronger enemies spawn, rushing the dwarven keep inside a mountain, you got to stop them from reaching the entrance or it's game over, you fail and have to wait a day or so to try again. We had about 30+ ppl helping since there were some nice rewards to be had if we kept the dwarven generals alive at the end of the fight.
Due to bad luck, pug group, no communication through ventrilo, we started losing tons of players left and right towards the end of the fight, there were only 5 people left standing and the general NPCs helping us, I was tanking the last boss, and sending tells at the same time trying to get some wizards that had logged in recently to come help us. Managed to get three to port to the zone and run in to try and manaburn (direct damage spell that burned all the Wizard's mana but if it critted it could land a massive 15k+ damage), two of them get there and fire manaburn but neither one crits :( He's still standing, my group is dead, he proceeds to start owning the dwarf generals when the last wizard arrives, a guildie of mine very well geared, and his manaburn lands for a whopping 17k damage, BAM the boss dies. It was so close to a fail that when the boss toppled over his corpse fell halfway inside the dwarven keep and all you could see where his boots.
My chest was thumping so hard, adrenaline rushing, I remember that moment vividly still to this day.

I remember in FFXI our ls finally got to kirin for first time. Well we were doing purdy good got him to about half health or so when our RNG called for help on kirin>< omg it was crazy did what we had to do to get him out of call for help by takin groups out of main group with new groups till the pink name went back to red. Because of all that it took our ls 2 hours to kill kirin but when we finally did, i have to say it was the sweetest victory. oooh the old days were so great.

My best ingame experiences are from WoW, mostly from the early BC period when the bosses wasnt nerfed to the ground.
I still remember my first Magtheridon kill and the struggleing with the cubes, and when we finally got our Voidreaver kill and I got our first T5 piece.
I also remember how hard was killing Lurker on my old pc I has like 10fps on him:D
It was a very great team and we has a good time in raiding.
In WotlK I dont have too much memorys like this, maybe our realm 1. sath+3 10man kill or when I finally get my Val'anyr.

My most memorable MMO moment was in planetside. The vanu (Vanu Sovereignty forever!) and new conglomerate were slugging it out on the south end of oshur, and my computer couldn't handle fights on that scale. So I invited the other two people online from my outfit to join me in some smaller scale fights on the north end of the continent. We decided to start attacking the generators in the NC controlled bases north of us, to remove their tactical advantages in the bigger fight. It wasn't long before we were noticed by a NC squad. The fight between the three of us was intense and prolonged, but we managed to keep killing them and prevent them from retaking the base, and the tower we'd captured, long enough for vanu reinforcements to arrive and steamroll them, along with my framerate. It was the most intense battle I'd ever been in.
