Today marks the start of something very special for fans and players of Allods Online: Closed Beta Test 4. This stage of beta brings a raised level cap to 40, seven new contested zones, new instances, raids, Goblinball and Astral Ships. This all begins today at 11am PDT and runs until February 3, 2010.
But the best part is, we have 5,000 keys for you! To grab one for yourself, head on over to our giveaway page, click the key claim button at the bottom and copy your key. From there you'll head over to the official Allods Online website to redeem your key and download the client. While your client is downloading, check out our pre-release developer tour of the new zones and Astral Ships, including a comprehensive video. Please note that if you've already acquired a key in previous stages of beta, you will not need one now. Good luck!

I don't need a key since I'm already playing the game. Would just like to say that this is one of the best MMORPG I've played in a long while.

Hi
I haven't played with the ships yet, think it's only available now in CB4. As for the actual gameplay, I find it very fun and captivating. Currently I'm a lvl7 ranger.
As some people have mentioned (Amana), there is a lack of background music, but nothing to major in my opinion. Actually, this problem could be fixed quite easily.
If you're looking for a fun game to play, but don't want to pay a monthly sub, I think this is a very good option.

Hrm although, after just logging in, I see they still haven't actually changed anything (like zone chat colour, chat window resizes not sticking thru login, missing sound effects for casting, etc).
It's definitely a great game, but it would appear that they've simply 'unlocked' more content and not done any noticeable development work since the last CB (again).
I sincerely hope they polish away all the little niggles before 'release', making Allods a truly great F2P MMO.

One of the most polished and streamlined betas I've ever been a part of. Funny that its coming from a F2P game, when most Pay to Play games are much further behind in development by open beta.
That being said, the cutesy cartoon graphics really just aren't my cup of tea.

Not sure whats different between some people's version and my version but there's plenty of background music and sounds playing in the version of Allods I have. They dont' constantly loop the music so you might have a couple of mins before the music loops around again.
Normally I just turn background music off and play one o fmy media players in the background *shrug*
Haven't gotten to try ships yet since you need to be rather high level and rich to do it. I'm hoping they'll tell us eventually how to get one to test in beta.

Have you rolled a caster yet? You'll notice a large amount of silent casting.
Also, if you visit places like large cities or interiors, you'll notice a deafening silence.

While the download is still going, can anyone refresh/direct me to an explanation of appropriate-stats-for-professions?
It might have been fixed since whenever it was reported, but I do remember Massively reporting that the game tells/told inappropriate stats that made clueless folks' (like me) characters completely duff.
