"They always warned us that if we weren't careful, our technology would outrun our humanity. Way I see it, it's finally getting interesting." So begins the latest Global Agenda offering from Hi-Rez Studios: the launch trailer.
With the launch of Global Agenda just a few short weeks away, fans and developers alike are enjoying the excitement that comes as a game's release date approaches. The team at Hi-Rez has been keeping the hype machine going with interviews, pre-order goodies, screenshots, and all other manner of goodies designed to keep us anxious for February 1st.
The new launch trailer is a flashy, fast-paced look at the world of Global Agenda complete with laser battles, jetpacks, giant robots, and women most definitely not wearing skimpy armor. It should serve as either a nice distraction while you wait, or make you even more impatient. Either way, follow along after the cut to look for yourself, and enjoy!

Massively covers massively multiplayer games, not just of the RPG variety. I don't see the term MMORPG being used to describe this title.

Your absolute ignorance and refusal to look at anything outside your "RPG-centric MMO" is humorous, THAC0. Directly from globalagenda.com:
"Overall, we consider the game to be an Action-based Shooter MMO. The game offers the fluid gameplay mechanics of a multi-player shooter, with elements of character progression, territory control and economy drawn from the MMO genre. The gameplay includes both player-vs-evironment and player-vs-player content, but all of it is fast-paced aImagend highly engaging and designed to get you into the action quickly, while forever learning to master new skills.
However, Global Agenda is NOT a typical MMO in many respects so please read this section carefully to figure out if it is the game for you.
Elements of a typical MMO that are NOT in Global Agenda:
* a large, seamless world to explore
* quest givers
* open world PvP or PvE
* elves
If you consider any of these items to be must-haves within your MMO, we may not be the game for you."
Need your seamless world, quest givers, or Elves? World of Warcraft is -----------------------> That way

The game looks interesting, particularly in the light that you dont have to pay to play the most basic content, but I think Ill wait for a weekend steam pricedrop before trying it, unfortunately I comes out aroudn the same time as Mass Effect 2, and when pitted up agaisnt that game, its not even a choice. :p

It looks really polished and gameplay looks fun, but they really need to dummy down graphics for huge epic battles that veteran Planetside players yearn for. I still can't believe Planetside is king of the mountain for mmofps after all these years...
I will never pay a monthly fee for a smaller match size than BF2, TF2 and Quakewars offer. Hopefully Blizzard has something up their sleeve, sounds like
even Dust will have a much smaller player cap compared to what
Planetside offers 8(.
Developers should realize they can draw in a larger crowd with a couple slower paced classes that can contribute to the fight. There is no way I could ever get my wife to try a fast paced game like GA even though she loves to combat engi and cloak in planetside.

This game sounded like it had a ton of potential to be an awesome Faction vs Faction game. Then I read that the biggest fights were only going to be 10v10, what's "Massive" about that? TF2 has bigger fights then that. What a missed opportunity, they should have had open Faction vs Faction and then advertised 100 vs 100 as a selling point.
I hear it's a very polished game though.

Looking forward to release and reviews of this game so I can evaluate the finished product.
But I agree with a few other posters that if I am playing an MMO of any kind I'm looking for bigger battles than I can find in Deathmatch FPS'.

Just because i don't want to be such a troll and i feel like I'm being a nuisance...
I do have to say it look like one really well polished and cool FPS. I'll probably give it a try.

Let me get this straight: 10 vs 10 third-person shooter? Oh hell no!
