Both EVE Online and World of Warcraft now offer a high quality official magazine to anyone interested. Is this going to become a trend? Sure, you could argue that World of Warcraft's immense subscriber base supports such a venture, but what about the considerably smaller (although no less dedicated) EVE Online base? That game has seemingly started this whole business of MMO magazines and EON is still around and kicking.
It seems to us that producing something of this nature would appeal to players of several other MMOs, so long as the price matched the quality. So our question to you is: What game would you want a magazine for, how much would you pay, how often would you require it to arrive (monthly, bi-monthly, etc) and what type of quality would you expect?

Nope - definitely won't buy a magazine. The problem with WOW in terms of a magazine is that everything gets updated so fast that by the time the magazine comes out, pretty anything written in it is to old. Its why i won't be buying any more guides to WOW ever again, they get outdated faster than i can pay the sales clerk.

The only time I find myself wanting to sit down and read a magazine is when I am on the pot taking a DUMP.
I also lol at the guys at Game Stop that try to persuade you into buying a Game Informer. No body wants that crap anymore. Unless your in High School maybe.

I would for Dragon Age, assuming there was enough to write about, but not for an MMO, I don't think -- except for maybe Guild Wars 2 or SWTOR.
I would prefer to subscribe to an online, downloadable (.pdf), and thus cheaper version, however.

give away a free pet in each issue and it'll fly off the shelves

There are enough junk mags in the world today.

I would most likely subscribe to a Guild Wars magazine. My favorite game in the entire world, though I still suck at it after 3 years.

Don't think mags are going to die. They are going to drop down, a lot, because of the internet. Just like Newspapers and now the TV are dropping.
Lets face it, stuff like TV and Newspapers are going to great lengths because they are losing customers. I think many of them are blaming the customers and attacking them.
Look how bad TV is now days, it runs on paranoia, generalisations, and what not. If anything you'll find more common sense on a random internet blog from trolls then you would on TV or Newspapers now days.
Not to say the same is happening with mags of course. But for stuff like MMORPGs the most interesting aspects happen outside of the game for the most part (in WoW anyway, because lets face it, ingame WoW really isn't that interesting). People are making informative pieces on the internet at the cost of only their own time, I have full access to these topics... If anything are MUCH more complex about the workings on MMORPGs, why would I buy a mag that is mostly about mindless fandom and selling me OTHER different stuff.

Closest I get is PC Gamer which is an ok magazine but mostly to pay for their podcast, which is free but is the best game podcast around and I would not like it to go away.
