All I can say is: Bring it on you lazy ass woos pirate wanna-be types. I love nothing better that having my T1 drones get the last hit, getting that sweet kill mail and then reading battleclinic.

FACT: An asshole pops a mining ship gets 2-3 points
FACT: I get last hit on the asshole with my mining ship's drones, I get 26 points.

Go look it up you pimple poppers and go back to WOW.

As a hulk miner, i find it funny when gankers comit kamakazie attacks on my miners.

For over two years these attacks have failed on me.

Got a good Hulk tank that has so far stood up to multiple attacks.

Some day, some one (more likely a fleet) will break it.

Gotta agree with Dblade, for example my cousin started playing EVE as a trial, he liked it, he joined my corp and he got 50 mill ISK and a nice tutorial on what to train and what implants to get to speed up training.

One of the things we did not tell him was about autopilot and to check market destinations before buying stuff. He found something cheap not too far and purchased it, cheapest in area... guess what it was in a 0.4 system next to the 0.9 starting one. He jumps in, gets his nice ship blown up and he gets podded... so he loses his implants of course and feels quite depressed. He said how he panicked and froze up.

Is EVE noob friendly? no not really... does it have an easy learning curve? of course not, it is quite overwhelming and people will never pick a 1 vs 1 fight unless they know they can win.

Can't remember seeing a fair fight in EVE ever. From the Beta days people always used tricks, from lag jettison cargos to god knows what.

Anyhow, in a way killing the AFK macro botting miners is good since they drive the prices down, could also be ISK farmers. But yeah, killing a semi AFK player watching TV or reading or whatever... kinda cruel, easy pickings... like stealing candy from a baby... which is eaxactly what it sounds, stealing candy from a baby, no skills.
