For the holidays, Champions Online presented their fans with an especially nice surprise: a gigantic, slavering teddy bear bent on the destruction of...well, everything. So how did you like it?
Randy "Arkayne" Mosiondz is the lead designer for Champions Online who created a forum thread today for fans to give feedback on their first ever winter event. The thread asks for your top three likes, your top three dislikes, and what you would like to see in future holiday events. Players have been giving feedback here and there up until now, but the thread will serve as a central place for the CO design team to hear how the player base feels. They'll take the answers into account as a guide to creating future events, so if there are some things that really stood out to you during the winter event -- either good or bad -- this is the time and place to be heard by the developers. The thread can be found at the official forums, so head over and give your take on the event.

Not really.
Too much repetitive grind.
Too much time needed to dedicate in a period where either you have social or work responsibilities and your time is limited.
Not really any impressing rewards for the time wasted, sorry dedicated, to get the rewards.
rewards not easily obtainable, sorry if you kill the bloody bear 15 times you should have all the set, not 15 cookies.
loot tables pathetic, yes I did get 50 ironclad legs and well only 1 head thank goodness for AH or I would not have finished any toy.
It wasn't a good event, or it was an event dedicated to people that are students/ unemployed and have lots of time to burn....
Sorry I love CO but this event was not good, lots of possibilities it could have but it ended up as a huge grind.

I logged in a few times, then realized the futility of it all since I wasn't level 40. The presents were nice, a little fun with the toy attacks, but ultimately nothing that CoH hasn't done and better.
The main reason why this event was sub-par is the way they turn a 'public event' giant monster into an individual free-for-all. The way the mechanics work is exactly as posters on the previous page have explained: top scorers get the best chance of loot. When you've got a few dozen people pounding on Clarence, chances are good that it's not you. In addition, there is NO extra reward for being on a team; several times I joined teams with level 40s in them and sidekicked up, but there is still no chance of dealing the damage of a true level 40.
City of Heroes takes care of this by allowing rewards for everyone on the team, if they did enough percentage damage as a TEAM. Why this group mechanic eludes Cryptic is baffling. Though in all fairness, they're not actively discouraging teamwork, so I guess that's a plus.
Also, defeat 1000 toys to get you on the path to the path of costume unlocks? Thanks, but no thanks...play is starting to feel like work.
