They both were. Talking with someone over WoW or the phone without ever meeting them, and proclaiming they are your "soul mate" - you are desperate, no offense to those who feel it was "true love" or something. And to those who think it was really love, would you say the same thing if it was a 42 year old man and 16 year old girl? No, you'd be saying it was some old pervert luring some girl to do whatever. I'm a girl, and even I know that's backwards.

A 42 year old and a 16 year old does not make sense. There is a huge age gap there. That's twenty-six years apart! How can they have anything in common being generations apart?

I'm all for love and no, age difference doesn't matter that much. But a 42 year old having no qualms with marrying a 16 year old boy, who can't provide on his own, matured into a strong man, still eats supper his Momma provides and buys games for him etc. is in fact desperate or who has a fantasy of dating boys.

Why would a 16 year old want a woman that's old enough to be his mother? Someone was obviously desperate for attention where they couldn't get it any where else.

Lol - Isn't there one of these published every year?
I swear they're completely fabricated, using fake/John Doe photos, by some outdated government department trying to ward us off the Evil Internets.

Imagine the hubbub if it had been a 42 year old man, and a 16 year old girl.

I wonder how many people over the age of 21 did something similar, and yet they recieved no news article.

Also, I bet there were alot more storyworthy young 16 year olds who ran away, joined the army, and got KIA.

So

Lets all troll on the irresponsible people who play videogames, no lets all troll on the irresponsible kid in the 11 million+ virtual community.

:/

cant we write stories on how super sucessfull people play the game hardcore.... or something like that!

I was going to blast you but apparently you can join the military at age 16 in Canada.

I'll never forget going to Winter Festival in Quebec. In the U.S. the age to drink is 21. So you go into your typical bar, you will have a handful of 18-21 year olds that have snuck in.

In Quebec, the drinking age was 18. So there were always a handful of 14-18 year olds that had snuck in.

For anyone that doesn't know why this is a story - it's because of the photos.

So here we have a young adult of legal age who gets a reallife visit from his online girlfriend. And this is news or reprehensible how? (apart from the picture)

Cougar she might be but the pair obviously had a bond that they thought was worth exploring. It might have turned sexual in that motel, but as he is legally of age... who cares?
