Fallen Earth, really? I actually played the piece of trash and can'tunderstand the draw. Have a nearly top end system and the fragmentsand bugs made it nearly unplayable. I love FPSs but this thing isbad. If we are going to talk about boring games; this gets my vote.
Champions Online has great potential, but I'll check it out in a year when its done with paid beta.
I'm stunned at the choices made by the staff. I guess a site that reports on Eve with every third news item can't have too much credibility.

I personally have only played WoW and RoM and based my voting on those two games only. I didn't vote in most categories because I knew I wasn't qualified to speak of a game I hadn't played.

The interesting part of all this is that I am now considering switching games! The comments from the staff of Massively have peaked my curiousity about the spectacular graphics of Champions and the "rich" crafting of Fallen Earth.

Thank you for the interesting poll and fascinating commentary.

Ehhhhhh, I disagree with Aion being the biggest disappointment. I've played so many MMOs I can't even count them all, and Aion is one of the few MMOs that I just adore and don't get tired of no matter how many new toons I level. Sorry, but Runes of Magic taking 95% of the awards is just dumb. It only proves that RoM players have literally no life, and they can roam the internet pumping up their game's popularity. Sorry, most of us like to play our game rather than beef up polls.

I could NOT agree MORE with the results for Fallen Earth. That game has got to be the best kept secret of MMOs. It's ridiculously under-appreciated, which I credit to too many players of "that other game" wanting to have their hand held through everything and having their "game" served up to them on a hot silver platter. Frankly...FE is the breath of fresh radiation-laden air that I have been looking for since UO and SWG passed from my life. Great choice...even if it flies in the face of the usual "popularity contest" types of "Best of" lists. /cheer I'm also really grateful that players and ex-players of "that other game" don't seem to LIKE it. They usually play until their level 2 and log out with a frenzy of help channel cries like, "ZOMG WTF THIS GAME SUX!" ....Gee, I really hate to see them go. Uhm...yeah....right.
