What you fail to see, Epiny, is that MMO =/= MMORPG. It means "Massively Multiplayer Online", so attach your own suffix to the end. MMOFPS. MMORTS. MMOARPG (Action RPG). MMOSS (Space Sim), etc and onward. There are ways to remove RPG elements from the MMO genre itself, and make a compelling massive online game. A game I could EASILY see doing this would be MechWarrior and the BattleTech series. Everyone is technically equal so long as you have the same money to purchase the same 'Mech. Then it's just down player skill. THAT... is not an RPG.

I'd go so far as to say that's why you don't develop games, either: your head is fixed in one way.
