You know, we put off this question for far too long. It's such an obvious breakfast question, really, because we know that all of you want to talk about the phat-lewt that appeared under your Christmas tree, or menorah, or what you expect to get for Kwanza, or what you got for any gift giving occasion.
So did you get that new MMO that you were lusting after? Did you get perhaps some time cards for your favorite subscription game or points for your favorite free-to-play title? Or did you just get a nice wad of cash which you promptly blew on Steam or at GameStop? These are important questions because inquiring minds want to know.
So what are you waiting for, an invitation? Get down to that comment box, bang out a sentence or two, and let it rip onto our webby-site. Holiday loot, go!

Nothing. Here where i live the holidays aren't so commercialized and gift giving culture is not very developed. What we do instead is spend all our money on outrageously expensive parties.
I'm sad.

I got Lord of the Rings Online, Dragon Age Origins, and Torchlight. I've got to say Lotro is a really good MMO. the classes are all really fun to play.

I found the same when I got into it. I definitely like the defined classes of lotro more than the jack of all trades classes of wow.
as for what I got, this year it was about the giving, though I did blow some cash on some Steam games. I even sent a few of my non-gaming friends Braid for two bucks a piece.

I got nuthin for Christmas, but that is cool. I got something for both my birthday and Xmas to use in February at a conference I am attending. However I did managed to pick up Stalker from Steam for $1.99.
On the Macbook/Pro "paper weight" jibe. I have been playing all sorts of PC games for quite a while on my MacbookPro. Modern Warfare runs lovely under Bootcamp, as does Wolfenstein, Champtions Online, Torchlight etc etc. These games are more stable on XP under Bootcamp than on an actual PC or so I have heard.

I don't know where people get these rumours. Obviously, if it's running XP, it is just as stable as XP, not more. So running a PC with XP or a Mac with XP under Bootcamp are the same thing, except for system specs. I prefer my gaming rig, but for MMOs you don't need the latest and best, so I suppose either will do fine.
As for what I got, I got COD:MW2. Yeah, I know, not much, but there wasn't anything else I wanted, atleast until Telus gets the Moto Droid ;)

A few Blu-Rays and some clothes.
But bought myself a Dell Zino HD lil PC for hooking up to the TV and it arrived Dec. 23rd so it was a great Christmas gift.
Should also note that I'm lucky enough to have a fantastic family and enjoyed every second of family time.
