Champions Online announces screenshot contest winners

This game needs to die - I am tired of seeing it every single goddamn day.

But we are interested. Interested in watching this company and game fail. Especially in regards to a contest.

Sakura Park.

Waaah...mommmm.../sniff Cryptic killed my kittens....and they /sniffle even made me call one Sakura Park...waaahhhhh..before they split it in two. Ccan can I have permission to /sniffle make it my life's work to post pointless dribble..../sniff...to hurt them back because they hurt my feelings.....WAAAHHHHHHH. WAAAHHHH!

I'm the psycho and yet youre the one who has to hop on his high horse and mock people who criticize your favorite gaming developer, Cryptic. So go ahead and respond with some flippant retort. I'll be expecting it, because people like you just can't help but dance whenever someone expresses an opinion.

Sakura Park.

It's not about the contest, really. It's about the character of the company. If they wanted a banal name like Sakura Park for a Japanese-themed park with cherry blossoms, they could have wiki'd Japanese Cherry Blossoms and found it. I shouldn't have won, but I'm sure there were others with really good ideas that should have. Cryptic should have done something to rectify it but they didn't.

Like you say, it's not the only thing I don't like about them, it's just the first. Other things include their tight-fistedness with their Open Beta, their concentration on their RMT store at the expense of their end-game content, their rush-out-the-door attitude towards game development which is related to their assembly-line mentality in relation to their game engine, all of these things and several others which don't come readily to mind make me want to see CO and any Cryptic game fail.

It's not about hating Cryptic, though. There was a Massively article a few months back about how RMTs in Sub-Based games were the wave of the future in MMOs and there was no stopping it. If Champions fails, if Star Trek Online fails, I imagine that Sub based games with RMTs will not be the wave of the future the article referred to.
