With all the new games and expansions coming out in 2010, I have to say it may be tough for me to find time to try out STO. With that said, however, news like this really makes me want to try it out. How incredibly awesome can you get?

So what happened that Shatner is pretty much cut out of everything Star Trek related. I like Nimoy and all, but it never sat right with me when I hear him doing the opening monologue thing. I'm like that Quinto is involved as well. Cryptic, you are gathering star power (claps hands). Don't fail us on gameplay.

It's my understanding that Shatner doesn't get along with the rest of the cast very well. He wasn't invited to George Takei's wedding, either, I don't think.

I've heard that. But I would think money would overcome that, especially the way Shat always seems to sound hurt when he is cut out of a project. I heard he made a big deal about not having a part in the new movie. Honestly with the story, I don't see how he could have.

Hm... enough Vulcans already! Give us a REAL faction to oppose the Federation and bring back the SHAT!

Like Picard. Honestly I would prefer him to Nimoy at this poiint. I do hope they get Sisko in here somewhere? I've just started watching the 7th and i think final season of DS9.

It's not like they shouldn't be able to get some of those guys on the cheap. I saw Michael Dorn and Marina Sirtis in some really bad movie a few months back. They weren't even the stars. I know Sirtis did some voice work for Mass Effect also.

TNG was THE best series imho. I would have hoped they could have used Patrick Stewart to do some voice acting. Hes my favorite captain ever.

i like nimoy. his voice is epic. he spoke most of the lines in civilization 4, which is by itself a pretty good revamp, but lemoy makes it special.

It's interesting to see what Cryptic will spend money on.

Last I heard Patrick Stewart was doing a play in London that pretty time consuming. Shatner probably wants a lot more money than Cryptic is willing to pay. He does bring a lot of starpower granted, but when you can two or sometimes three stars compared to one then the decision is kind of made for you.

Heck, I would think Riker would be easy to get. He loves doing voice-over work.

I hope they're trying to get Spiner. Data is the only one who would still be alive, I would think. But I've heard he's one of the one who doesn't do voice work very much.

I'm happy they brought in the real Spock. Quinto is good and all, but I didn't really care that he was in it. Nimoy, on the other hand, is great news.
