I tried loading the free trial on two seperate computers and in both cases, the load crashed.

Disappointing but perhaps it's bettter to discover it's a broken game before loading, than after.

Generally, that would be a correct statement. Thing is that this game isn't broken like it used to be at launch and is now actually really fun.

I will never know!

(It's one thing not to work on one computer - but to not work on two - with the second one being a brand new Dell XPS...)

AoC runs flawlessly for me. We run it on 4 PCs (3 desktops and when I need to a laptop). Has to be something on your PC.

Dell XPS... I just bought one in August...I had to replace the video card, as it was using one that sucks, seriously you would've had to dig around on the net to even know it existed. ... it sounds like you might have the same problem. I went with a GeForce GTS 250 ...and now AoC works great.
