They should have "tried" and not released half assed completed game the first time around. Then they would not have to "try" because they would have a good reputation rather than the shitting one they have now. Lying and deceiving your customer base does not bode well for future business ventures...

What a stupid reply!

AoC has very few bugs now, seiges, some feats don't work, hmmmm some people say there are client crash issues yet these are same mad posters to post /ragequit posts on the forums and quite frankly AoC can so without. I would sugesst you are part of that group.

AoC is on the rise!

-Expansion coming soon adding over 50% land mass to the game, adding factions, better zoning.
-Patch 1.06 is on the way adding Guild Renown, loads of itema to add or decorate guild cities with, PVP Arenas and part of 1.06 has PVP tower system to be added!

There is a free trial to check it out yourselves too. :)

Free Trail program seems to have paid off. Game is ROCKIN! We just reactivated 3 subs and are having a blast. AoC is the most underrated MMO on the market.

.

Funcom are now clearly trying to expand the market for their games by appealing to the Facebook and Twitter generation and that's fine, it doesn't include me but then I'm already hooked - AoC is now an excellent and highly polished game, and I have fond memories of AO notwithstanding the awful technical issues at launch. I'll certainly play it again if and when the graphics update finally sees the light of day. Funcom have also produced several of the best offline games, they're a much under-rated company in my book not least because when they do make a failure they manage to turn it round. Not many companies can achieve that.

At the rate they're going, they'll never get around to doing the Dreamfall sequel, it'll just be mmo after mmo...damnit... I liked that game. :(

The Secret World does look cool, and it's breaking new ground in using the world we live in today to make a horror/heroic fantasy game. If they don't tangle things up too much with the factions and the PvP, us adults will have a cool new MMO to play for awhile.

One thing that comes to mind though, considering they could easily just replicate the real-world ads we have now and collect ad revenue from all over the frickin' place, I'd say this game is set up to go F2P on advertising alone. I don't think there's another game that could put out today's ads without them being intrusive, but it'd work perfectly in this setting.

They won't 'cause the suits haven't the imagination to do anything that intelligent, but I'm just saying, it would be easy for the devs and a total win for the business model.
