There's definitely a certain type of player the enigmatic Dragon secret society will appeal to in The Secret World. We can say that with even greater confidence after reading Gamespot's Dragon-focused interview with Funcom's Ragnar Tornquist. They're masters of the subtle and maestros of manipulation -- also, they carry katanas and guns.
The interview runs the gamut topic-wise, but many of the answers coming from Ragnar are still incredibly careful to avoid any and all spoilers. Nevertheless, there's still much to be gleaned from regarding what these guys are about and how playing them is going to be different from the other two factions within The Secret World. Our favorite nugget of new information? Lighting your katana on fire being confirmed as an in-game feature. There really isn't anything quite as satisfying as splitting a foul monster in twain with a burning chopping blade of death!

I really hope players don’t look as silly as the drawings look. Secret societies that go out dressed in bright colors bearing the sigil of their organization? Yeah, that sounds convincing.
However, if it looks anything like the trailers made it out to appear I’ll give it a look. Those teasers did an excellent job at turning the mundane into the terrifying within a blink of an eye. I want to see more stuff like that, where a girl, dressed in jeans and a tee-shirt, listening to her I-pod and making a smoothie suddenly comes face to face with a gruesome demon. The type of setting where a playground can become a ring of death and heroes wear beanies and winter jackets intrigues me far more than any of the usual “look at me! I’m in a jumpsuit!” settings out there.

That’s kind of strange considering this is called the “Secret” World. Was kind of hoping for a little more ya know…secrecy.

I think the "world" is secret, not the societies who are fighting in it. The "world" in this case are the monsters from myths and urban legends which are under our noses but hidden from us.
Im sure the societies arent going around advertising who or what they are fighting but as this evil is hidden from every-day people, to most people a person walking around in a dragon jacket is just someone walking around in a dragon jacket and only the societies know differently :)
I agree in hoping that the game remains in keeping with the mood/style of the teaser trailers...!

Enough of the no-gameplay trailers, lets see some gameplay instead then I'll decide if this is going to be something to look forward to or not.

Ragnar Tornquist.
Funcom has had failures, but he is responsible for some of its greatest successes, and he's lead on this game.
