I got my beta key in the mail the other day, and downloaded the client, not expecting much. Damn, was I impressed. There is a crispness, a polish to the look and feel to the game is is just simply impressive and expected of AAA titles and not a F2P game. I found myself pausing in my playing to gape over wondrous vistas adn the shifting skies.

Well have to see if the finished product and the endgame have plenty to offer, but the fact that lvl 10 dungeons arent simply tank and spank encounters, is encouraging to that they are working on engaging and challenging engame raid bosses and isntances. But then again... the game will be free to play, so what can you lose by trying?

I was initially uninterested in this game, but the screen shots are what is drawing me nearer to it. The art style is beginning to make me think that is truly a unique game.

I was intrigued by levels 1-6, but then discovered Allods comes with a new piece of DRM software by infamous rootkitters Starforce. I uninstalled it immediately.

For all I know at this point, this new software might be completely harmless, but Starforce has not earned the benefit of the doubt.

Gah. Thanks for the heads-up! I swore off those guys years ago...looks like this is one game I won't be playing, unfortunately.

I am intrigued by the mention of the character wipe. They have always said that there will be one at end of closed Beta but we were assuming one at teh end of closed beta would happen as well.

Looking forward to official clarification.
