I'm currently having loads of fun crafting a "secret" item in Runes of Magic, that I plan to use to as a focus for some blog articles, and to shock all the Runes of Magic communities, in general.

In SWG, my Firespray (Boba Fett's ship)... it took a long time of both reverse engineering ship parts & hunting player vendors to find all the schematics pieces, but when I finally had them all & assembled the ship, it was the highlight of my crafting (& space-faring) career in that game.

The greatest moment was my crafting my first Mastercrafted Tin Sword in Everquest 2. Perhaps it's the user interaction required, but I actually felt like I really achieved something, as opposed to the random chances even in SWG (experimenting).

Even then, I didn't know how crafting exactly worked in EQ2 until much later...

My Branch of the Mother Tree in Lineage2. It's stupidly expensive and has a huge chance to fail (40%). To all the other Korean MMO players, anything you craft in those games will be the biggest pain in the butt/victory ever. In lineage2 it took a good month or two to gather everything you needed, and you STILL failed almost as often as not.

I had a couple great crafts in Ragnarok Online, but nothing I can remember.
