I just preordered my copy off Steam. I played this game at PAX back in Sept and really liked playing it, can hardly wait for the release.

Is there a monthly fee for this pseudo-MMO? If not count me in for the preloading off steam otherwise I'll wait until a few months post release for a free trial.

You can either play for free, and miss out on crafting / AvA warfare (the MMO aspect, pretty much - playing for free, it's just a multiplayer shooter, much like gears of war or whatever)

or you can subscribe, which i THINK is a bit cheaper than the usual $14.99 sub. that gets you everything.

Aye its a $12.99 a month sub.

But yeah, basicly, by game once, play forever as standard shooter game. Think TF2 in the future in third person.

Sub, and take part in the conquest gameplay for control of zee world.

And they have also recently annouced it will be a single server setup (With multiaple shards in different sections of the world to keep that ping down), so you really do get to play the world.
