While many areas up north are getting their first dusting of snow for this season here in the US, many lands in Middle-earth are still lovely, sunny, and comfortable. So if you've had enough of winter, you can always head into Lord of the Rings Online like IGN Albar, who sent this in: Here's my friend Jhorge doing some fishing in a beautiful sunset. Later he started a campfire and I repaired all our stuff to keep running our quests. I have been playing Lord of the Rings Online for about 2 months and is definitely the most incredible-lore-graphics of all MMO (and I've played a lot).
MMOs big or small - we want screenshots of them all! Just email them to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name, the name of the game, and a quick description. We'll post them out here and give you the love for sending them in.

You can get the complete edition of LOTRO for $29.99 digital download. It includes LOTRO: Shadows of Angmar, Mines of Moria, and Siege of Mirkwood. That's a good deal considering Mirkwood itself cost $19.99.

Um... I found LotRO/MoM in the clearance rack at Target for $4.99. The deals are out there, just have to keep an eye out for them. D2D and Steam also have random deals for high quality games.
Whatever price they charge, you should also subtract out the cost of the 1st month -- since it's included in the price.
I agree with you though. Subscription-based MMOs should offer their client software for the cost of the 1st month or under. If the game is of any quality, they'll make back the money in the monthly sub.

I've seen Mines of Moria (which includes the original game) for $5 at places like Target, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart. Heck, I just found it for $1.38 on Amazon.

The pic description references the best lore? Apparently the individual doesnt read or has read any of the JRR books. Quite the huge difference in what the books do/say verses what the LOTR MMO does.

I will excuse your comment Hackjack even if you cannot. In proper context the op states TWO items that LOTR excels in, i disagreed on the lore aspect, you need to read, and as we both cannot listen to typed text (i did stare at the screen waiting for it to yell at me for a bit........... it didnt) i will skip a comment on that.
I have a lifetime sub in LOTR, The *only* reason i log my warg in, besides it being free, (my old freep toons are long deleted) is to cruise the ettens from time to time and alternately take my level 10 burg to check out the vistas or do a bit of fishing in a stream, yes the graphics are fantastic.
But the lore sucks as much as the person behind it currently does, the O. For we shall not speak his name openly.
