Final Fantasy XI. I still have nihtmares about getting aggro from a baddy, running clear across the zone, and then dying in the load screen to the next zone.

Then you downlevel, have to resupply from the mog house and try the run again.

Yeah that game was just thematically and mechanically stupid on so many levels.

Hey there's an entire race of cat people but the race is 97% female! Don't even ask us how they reproduce!

What a thinly disguised effort to slip in sexy cat women without any basic lore validation.

Hey, Kapla, go relearn the lore. Male Mithras stay home while females go out and fight. It's stated in the game itself...

World of Warcraft, for homogenizing the genre, and creating a very polished but ultimately bland and shallow game.

Im with you.

But you can reverse the thing. We might say that we hate every other game as they all helped make mandatory standards out of WoW's(already partly recycled) gameplay, and contributed this way in giving it 11 million subbers.

Wow you said that very well. I can't stand WoW, yet I still play it with my friends. Else I'd prefer, I dunno... Hello Kitty Online over WoW.

I have a sort of love / hate relationship with wow. The game is incredibly polished, has a lot of content and somre great features. It is, however, the biggest responsible for (as many people already put out) the genre being flattened and stale.

I realize, though, the players are at fault (rather than the game) for not trying new things, for taking chances and trying to help other promising games succeed.

Darkfall

To me that game just reeks of griefing. There is a reason why I never liked open-world PvP. Games are supposed to be fun, and being ganked is not fun at all. The game feels like too much work for nothing.

Now EVE on the other hand, from what I have read, has a much more interesting concept. There might be griefing involved and everything, but everything about that game is so grand. Yes it is not for everyone, not even for me, but I can appreciate the intricacies of that game. Reading the stories on EVE are fun for even a non-EVE player. It is something that I like to watch from afar but would hate to be in the middle of.

I don't like Silkroad Online, so many scammers, botter, cheaters and childish behaviour. About all my friends who were playing it had their accounts hacked, and later on HAD to install bots to earn enough money to even buy healing pots. Also, you need to buy '300% tickets' to keep up with leveling, and being able to login cause 1 person can run like 20 bots and take up 20/6000 server slots..

SWTOR, the hype surrounding it is driving me insane, partly because i am sure i will not like it as i am neither a Star Wars nor sci-fi fan, partly because i haven't liked any BioWare game save for Jade Empire SE, and partly because if it even manages to be the next big thing since sliced bread/wow, i will still always think something is wrong because of reason one.

Nothing to see here, folks. Just a being with no soul.

Ignore the rabid fanbois, it's fine to dislike Star Wars.

I for one LOVED the origional series of Star Wars. The last three movies and the "extended universe" I dislike strongly.

I'm throwing Alganon and all other games like it that just blindly copy WoW with no attempt to do ANYTHING origional in the ring.

I'm really hoping STO is better than SWTOR but I'm not sure it will be anymore. There's so much hype behind both of them.

I bought Eve on Steam for $5 but I seriously doubt I'll subscribe past the intro month. Just not the game for me.

Final Fantasy online *shudders*

Worst quest system of any MMO... ever....

Back when I played... hmmm 5 years ago.... being in the lvl 60's waiting for a invite for hours via translator.....

Mob trains.... some of the slowest leveling ever at the time.....

Did I mention the 40 people camping Lizzy or the Emp!!!

Xiah Rebirth

If you are spending money on this game, you should be ashamed of yourself.
