I've been playing LOTRO recently, though i'm only level 34 at this time. While I won't be able to experience Mirkwood itself any time soon it seems from a level 34 perspective that Turbine is getting it right with these patch notes. I skipped Book 2 because I didn't like the Garth Argarwen instance -- the loot was bad and there was too much trash. The patch notes seem to address exactly that. I might go back and finish off Book 2 now.

Book 2 was revamped and has an EPIC ending. I highly recommend going back to do it.
