Everyone can, with enough time invested, become a master crafter in everything, master every magical school and be the best melee fighter... all at the same time.
So that guy shooting a firewall? He has no weakness. This basically obliterates any type of strategy (like stay at close range to prevent a caster from being able to cast constantly on you... he can just melee you and be equally or even more effective than you if you chose just melee).
There is strategy but its macro strategy. There is no micro strategy.

melee and range will be able to interrupt spellcasting.. um melee gets a skill called rage that makes them have high magic resistance and heavy armor will have higher magic resistance and then range gets a specialization called mage killer which means they CANT learn magic schools at all as long as they have that but they do crazy damage to people with staffs out.

For example Mage Killer is a skill that massively increases damage against anyone carrying a staff. But if you take it you can no longer use some magic schools.
So players will be able to become good at everything by maxing out thewir skills or can become excelent in one area but by sacrificing other areas.
This is awesome for new players as they can quickly level up for example archery and then specialise in that area and be able to compete much faster than now where they have to level everything to compete.
