Is a mission runner someone who just does missions constantly? If so, is this a bad thing? I only just started Eve this past weekend so I know nothing.

Yep, that's what it means. Not a bad thing at all, and probably the most profitable thing in the game right now, but some people find it boring, and some players that live in 0.0 like to mock "carebears."

Mission running is not bad. In fact, it's a good thing to do - you can earn massive amounts of money with the loot and salvage. If you can take on the missions, that is. L4's can be very challenging for a solo player, while L2's and L1's have ship restrictions and don't give that much reward. I prefer mining myself - it might not earn one as much money as doing missions, but the profit is there nonetheless, and asteroids don't shoot back (though asteroid belt pirate NPCs do warp in from time to time).

Mission running? Most proftiable? Noo.. most accesible way of making money? Yes but not most profitable.

In a risk/ rewards relativity it is one of the most profitable, also missions are quite easy not requiring massive travel if you know how to pick up your agents.
