When we say "NCsoft" it usually brings to mind their big, highly-promoted titles like City of Heroes, Aion, and Guild Wars. However, NCsoft enjoys quite a bit of popularity in their home country of Korea, and a lot of people are looking forward to another upcoming title. Blade and Soul hasn't enjoyed the worldwide hype that some other NCsoft titles have, but it's still got an excited fan base looking forward to it.
News for eager fans has been on the skimpy side, with the biggest announcement lately being a recent mention from the NCsoft CEO Jaeho Lee: "I believe there will be certain public events in the year 2010... at least a closed beta test for those titles. Commercialisation will be expected, at this point, probably some time in the year 2011."
Yesterday NCsoft delivered a little surprise via Twitter for those anticipating Blade and Soul: a teaser trailer is coming soon, and a 30-second teaser is available now. Take a look at the teaser after the jump, and we'll keep an eye out for the full length version for you!

A generic title with generic art for another generic Asain mmorpg.

A lot of Asian MMOs have an Asian fantasy theme.
A lot of Western MMOs have a J. R. R. Tolkien fantasy theme.

If you actually looked into the game, you would see how incredibly wrong you are.

Blade and Soul will be a serious challenger to Aion but I think that NCsoft priority is to get rid of the bots and Goldsellers that plague their games.

"serious challenger to Aion"??
Dude, Aion is dying because NCSoft put no effort into the game. It just copied from the Korean game without realizing that the same gaming sensibilities don't hold in North America. People in North America aren't big fans of the mindless grinding.
NCSoft's response is a patch that doesn't address the NA concerns. NCSoft's responses on the forums has been non-existent.
My point? Why would anyone who has experienced the way NCSoft treats its customers (as they have in Aion or in Tabula Rasa) spend money on another title that will be unsupported by the company and not address the needs of the players?

I remember seeing the original trailer some 2 years back or so. It looked pretty cool. I fear that Venekor might just be right, however I hope he isn't. I'd like to play a good martial arts MMO that wasn't overly generic.

Nice production. But I find Allods looks a thousand times better and much more original.

I'll bet this will take zero risks and will rip-off other MMOs wholesale.

I love the asian artstyle in NcSofts games, but sadly their games have little to no soul and are unending grindfests. No thanks.

T'n'A, and brick shithouses..... how original.
This kind of crap makes me ashamed to be male.
If I want porn, I'll go elsewhere to get it. I don't want it in my MMO's, because you know that every prepubescent teen is going to be in there, getting themselves off on virtual titties while being complete asshats about it.
That, and you know it's going to alginate every woman on the face of the planet.
I don't think I could live with myself if I lowered my standards of woman to this BS.
Besides, if their spending so much time on the T'n'A, they probably are not spending that time being innovative.

I was highly interested in this game for awhile...until I started finding out there's an icky underlining fan service to this game. So I'm not so interested anymore. This game may infact have next gen graphics as demonstrated in it's video's...but it appears it's stag party T'n'A appeal is still stuck in the century when men used to peel bananas with their feet.
I will also add, if you want to develop women ingame that are kick-ass, you should realize that large mammory glands are not an asset but an incombence. Similar to a male with a large beer gut attempting to tie his own show laces...
...in short, you don't need it to sell if the game itself is really good.

Interestingly enough, even if I wanted some T'n'A in my game, it wouldn't be the stereotypical 'lamp post with a pair of grapefruit strapped to it' look.
I kinda prefer strong, boobs of steel types.

If I want a sexy heroine, I would like her to be able to bench press a tank.
Real proportions please.

Isn't there any more original thinkers out there for making a new style of mmorpg, instead of the same copy and paste games we have be given.
Let's start to think more outside the box now developers.
