Huh? I didn't know Shin Megani Tensei/Atlus had an MMO.

I usually quite like their games.... so I might check it out..... maybe.

The one thing to note though is that SMT:I wasn't developed by Atlus, but by Cave... the company better known for its 2D shooters than RPGs or MMOs.

I was on the beta, and I can tell you that the combat is pretty sweet. The rest..not so much (at least not for newbies to the series).

The combat itself works quite a bit like Mabinogi on steroids. It's also relentless. Expect to die, a lot, to anything and everything.
My main gripe is the art style (I'm just not that into the whole post apocalyptic theme), and the game balance. There wasn't any PvP to speak of back then (I still don't think they have it), and I think you either become a gun user, or..well..die, literally. I also heard from players of the Japanese servers that there are rarely ever any content updates.

Oh, and did I mention the total lack of roleplay? That's the biggest turn off for me.

I play Imagine, and it's a pretty good game, good enough to invest money in Aeria points at least.

It's mainly free to play, but like most MMOs they use micro transactions, or rather, purchase points to generate revenue from this game.

Although i have already played some Demon Friend quests, i haven't had the pleasure of riding the bike yet..

Overall, SMT:Imagine is a fun but at times slow MMO =)
