A LOT of Champions Online. I'm still very much addicted to it; it's just so much fun. A decent amount of Dungeons and Dragons Online. Still, easily the best F2P game ever. And a little of Battlefield 2. :)

Bored, trying to get into the Allods beta since I missed the key giveaways, otherwise I'm re-downloading RoM, Aion is getting boring, need a breath of fresh air, maybe some more Torchlight and or MW2, is Champions Online really good? I was thinking of giving it a try...

Hey Joshua, if you read this, I did get one of the Allods beta keys and made an account. I only played it a bit, but am now sucked into Dragon Age: Origins and MW2 too much to have any time to play Allods.

Shoot me an email @ liek[dot]a[dot]fr3akllama[at]gmail[dot]com

I'd be glad to hand over my beta account for you to enjoy.

Dragons Age : Origins could possibly suck the life out of anyone who plays it and finds it addictive, granted its not a mmo, but given the current crop only performing to par its no suprise that alot of people are getting drawn into it. Maybe thats why they got bioware to make the next mmo.

With people waiting on swtor any up and other up and comming mmo's its no surprise that alot of mmo players are split, but saying that its not like its a new trend either, people have always split time, the mmo market at the moment isnt quite saturated but it does offer a good range of games for every kind of player saying that though, only a few really stand out.

Last year the Buzz was all about Age of Conan and Warhammer online, games which are almost on their deathbeds, and no disrespect at all to them, they were good games for their genre but just couldn't offer that niche for gamers to truly launch them to the higher level. Compared to now when we have almost twice as many new mmo's released the same kind of almost inevitable cycle seems to start repeating itself.

The one constant fact is gamers will always divide time, it doesnt matter what mmo you play its a part of it, even back in the early days of mmo's you'd find players that split their time between daoc and some other single/multiplayer genre. and its not because the mmo of the time doesnt captivate the audience, pleanty of good mmo's can suck a person right in, but its being able to hold them and drive them is the thing no mmo can do.

I've got quite a few I can play, I'm sure I'll dabble a little in each. World of Warcraft, I have an alt rogue at 43 who has some STV quests to knock out.

I've got a slew of alts in Warhammer that I'll play the first 2 tiers in, namely my Runepriest and Shadowwarrior at the moment.

Checking out and enjoying the Allods Online beta, not wanting to sink too much time into it knowing I will do that when it goes live.

I could pop into LOTRO, but nothing has really changed in the last 6 months there until the expansion, so I'll just wait till that hits.

Last but not least, Dragon Age, although I'm having a hard time motivating myself to play it. I like a good story but not when the game is comprised of 85% clicking through dialogue and 15% doing anything else. Word to Bioware, keep the great writing but lets make it less intrusive to actual gameplay.

EVE Online. It has hooked me now. Of course, I'm still just working through the tutorials still but this may be my new game. It just feels so overwhelming, I can never get an RO for EVE University so I putz around on my own for the most part :-P

EVE offers so many things to do that even I'd be overwhelmed if I tried to do everything I wanted to. The trick to not being overwhelmed in EVE is to focus on one main aspect of gameplay like missions or mining or faction warfare or even just flying around looking at stuff. Then when you get bored of it, get a change of scenery and pick something else to do. For example, I've been doing a lot of wormhole piracy but occasionally I like to go mining or even do some missions. The other day I just picked myself up and went exploring off into the middle of 0.0 space on an alt :D. But you really have to just do one or two things at a time, is my point.

Played a beta I can't talk about this afternoon, played some Borderlands and finished the first playthrough. Tomorrow some more Dragon Age in hopes of finishing it before Tuesday's L4D2 release.

Allods Online in bits and pieces - don't want to spoil myself too much for that - and have been trying to get into Jade Dynasty to try the new expansion, but keep crashing out of that one. I might put some time into Alganon to be fair as well.

Well, Friday i played Dragon Age: Origins (awesome game), and Aion. Today I played Aion maybe for last time. I wish this game would grab me but I hate the fact that my level 21 character can be ganked by a level 50 who's had a bad week at the office. Sunday, if i play anything probably some more Modern Warfare 2 (single player) and then going out Geocaching.

Oooh, I haven't gone geocaching in a while. Maybe I'll see if there's some new spots near me.

This is truly a dry spell for MMOs, the only ones worth playing have been played in and out to death, and the ones that haven't really aren't worth touching.

I don't see any MMOs in the near future that I have my heart set on, so I have moved onto other genres until another MMO comes out to sweep me off my feet.

I'm so very, very bored with current MMOs, but I think it's my fault more than anything else, I try out every EQ-style title that comes out.

Fantasy-style games, yuck; WoW and WAR and LotRO and Aion and all the other clones are fine games, but the genre is so completely overdone (oh and Aion keeps crashing in PvP anyway). I also played WoW for 4 years+, I'm sick of it.

I like Eve, but I've been playing on and off since 2003, so it lacks a bit of that shiny new factor.

CO doesn't interest me, probably because my first impression is that it's CoH 2 (which I played, which was fine back in the day, but that's it).

I haven't tried Fallen Earth, might look into that.

Or not, maybe I'll just take a long break away from MMOs in general. Wake me up when something fresh comes out.
