Not to mention how disappointed I am with the choice of criminal organistions - skater punks or rebellious rich kids arent exactly striking fear into the opposition!
Also I was hoping the "death music" could be sampled from our own music collection (and the defeated enemy hears it too), but it appears it is just a gimmic with a select number of tunes chosen or designed using the in-game editor :(
Still, keeping an open mind and hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised as the gameplay looks great!

As for the criminal organizations, that doesn't mean they're not dangerous. A criminal willing to use a gun is a criminal that you should be wary of. This sounds more like you're being nitpicky, as opposed to any tangible evidence of the game being poor. I wonder why you chose to type this?
The death music thing is cool. You should have known that copyright laws (and rules of decency) would not allow clips of real songs to play when people die. That feature can be added through the use of admin plugins in a certain game, but it's made through the fans and in no way official. This music creating system is pretty cool, it's definitely something new and I for one will probably have fun with it as I enjoy creating music. Also, you'll probably be able to buy tunes from other players, or find templates in the official forums.
So yes, if I were you I'd continue to keep an open mind. This game does look very innovative in terms of design and player individuality, so it's something to look forward to regardless of one's complaints.

At no point did I say I thought the game was or would be poor and no one can be "nitpicky" about something we havent played or experienced, I am simply expressing my opinion and thoughts in regards to the original article and the information contained therein, which I am perfectly entitled to do. You are just as entitled to disagree with me and I am happy to debate the subject but to question my reasons for expressing my opinions is foolish.
Perhaps you are used to trolls posting inflammatory and negative remarks in these forums and replied accordingly, without actually reading the post or noticing its tone, that being one of opinion and not mindless negatively evidenced by my last paragraph.
